    $570 from $1140.

The more we see this Saint Laurent Cassandra bag the more we fall in love. At 30% off or $1645 from $2350, it becomes a definite contender or how about this adorable belt bag for $770 from $1100. If you’re looking for larger discounts, hit this Saint Laurent tee that’s $245 from $490 or these hiking boots are $660 from $1100.

Valentino is also a big newcomer to the sale section. Many bags and shoes are reduced by 40% off. This card holder would make a great gift and it’s just $167 from $275, a blue Candystudded bag is $1725 from $2875 and classic Rockstud pumps are $627 from $1045. Most clothing is reduced by 50%. Bergdorf Goodman: VIP Sale Access (40+ Pics)

Late Friday afternoon, we received an email saying that Bergdorf Goodman executives decided to break sale early. The email came with lots of apologies but we couldn’t be more excited. Seriously, breaking sale is even more exciting than color war.

We could hardly control our excitement and spent a good portion of the weekend scouring Bergdorfs for all the best markdowns. Online shoppers can use this VIP link to access the sale right now. Doors open at 10am for those looking to take home a lavender bag.

Handbags are always the most popular items during sale season and they are the first to sell out. Most styles are discounted 25% to 40% off. The Prada sale selection of bags is much better online than in the store. We love this Bolide-shape bag with the updated logo that’s now $1600 from nearly $2700. Before you check out, don’t forget to look at the Prada selection on Neiman Marcus too. Here is the VIP link to the sale at Neiman Marcus.

If you’re in the market for Balenciaga, we suggest you shop from the store’s selection. There are some sale items online but the variety at the store is much better. You can see pictures here. The in-store sale selection includes this logo-mania bag with a “cape”, there is the carwash-like fringe style and about eight variations of the BB gold-chain bag. Upstairs were laughed when we spotted the Balenciaga multi-layered winter coat reduced to $4750 from $9500.

We were extremely surprised by the great sale selection options among the Saint Laurant bags. This Marceau Monogram crossbody bag especially caught our eye and after the discount, it comes to $1645 from $2350. This Jamie bag with diamond quilting is also very attractive and we love the size of this V-Flap but don’t really like the blush. If you’re looking to throw a small laptop into a bag then go to the store and check out the other color options. You can see pictures from in the store over this way.

The sale includes a few cute Chloe bags, a scattering of Fendi, and lots of lots of Valentino. The selection is a little different in the store. Take a look here. We were excited to see a Valentino VLTN tote that’s now $1083 from $1445 and here is a Rockstud crossbody hobo that’s $1271 from $1700.

Moving up to shoes the racks are out and so are the crowds. We spotted these Manolo Hangisi flats in a few different styles. They are now $716 from $955. We actually snagged a pair of these Off-White rain boots that say “For Riding.” They were hard to resist at $315 from $450. Shoppers seemed very excited about these Rockstud slouchy leather boots that are now $1256 from $1800 but don’t they seem a bit, Trixy? The minimalism of these Paul Andrew boots seems to resonate a lot better.

We are still searching for the ideal pair of lace-up hiking boots. No such luck yet. We’ll keep looking. For now, you can scroll through our favorite sale items online or bounce over to browse through the pictures we took in the store today.

Classified Leak: Black Friday Sale Dates

For the past week, we have have been fielding 100s of emails and DMs asking about sales breaking at specific stores. For the first time, we are pre-publishing all of our known sale dates. It’s hard to say how long we will be able to keep this post live. We suggest that you bookmark this page and then click on the direct sale links below. Some of our sources provided us with private pre-sale access.

One more suggestion: Websites have been known to come to a crawl when sales break. It’s a good idea to spend the next two days browsing and picking the items you love most. Add everything you’re considering to your card and then begin to edit. When the sales go live you can cash out fast without searching through a sluggish site.

Saks Presale Begins (I Spy Gucci!)

Jingle bells aren’t ringing but we are merry and cheery as Saks Fifth Avenue begins presale for its first markdown of the season. Saks Fifth Avenue started presale today and the seasonal markdown ritual will be officially public starting Tuesday morning.

The biggest highlight of the Saks sale is the Gucci merchandise. No other store seems has publicly offered any discount on Gucci merchandise– yet. The markdown assortment isn’t wonderful but 40% off is all we need to begin celebrating the sale season.

Among the Gucci merchandise that’s discounted 30% to 40% off are Gucci fur slides in blue velvet, embroidered sneakers, black and gold ‘Guccy’ pool slides, Gucci print all-over pumps, Vegas loafers, and various other styles. The sale also includes some styles of Gucci bags, including floral prints, butterfly styles and some styles of pouches. You can see pictures of more styles over here.

Beyond Gucci, there is a healthy selection of Balenciaga shoes. These Balenciaga slides are $206 from $500 and these sneakers come to $486 from almost $700. There are also lots of Valentino and Givenchy bags on markdown. This medium Rockstud bag is 40% off or $804 from $1345 and this velvet Rockstud Spike top handle bag is about $1900 from $2745. Just about every size, color, and shape of the Givenchy Antigona are on sale along with a variety of Saint Laurent bags, including Matelasse style bag. Pictures are in the jump.

Again… Christian Louboutin, Chanel, Celine, and other designers aren’t part of the markdown yet. Usually, those brands are added in early December and within days of the second markdown. Just don’t expect to find those Opium pumps hanging around waiting for you.
