Amazing Outnet Marni Sale
So, we got browsing and one link took us to another and we landed on the Outnet, which is much too often overlooked when it comes to shopping for great deals. Right now the site is hosting Marni as their highlighted designer and we were surprised to see such a great selection at 50% to 88% off.
Truthfully there are so many great items in our "bag" it's going to be hard to choose. We choose the a metallic jacquard coat that's $518 from $2070 or 75% off, a chocolate ruched crepe dress reduced from $1170 to $187 or 75% off and a contrasting sleeveless cashmere sweater $217 from $910, also 75% off.
Did we mention that there is a full assortment of shoes and accessories that are all priced under $150. We can't believe that there is still so much merchandise left considering the lines at H&M for made-in-China Marni.
Giambattista Valli starts October 18th and we hope that the markdowns are as good as they are on Marni....

KamaliKulture 50% Off
For one evening only, Norma Kamali is inviting customers to shop through her all under-$100 KamaliKulture collection. The sale promotion will only be available at the designer's West 56th Street boutique from 5:30 to 8:30 on Wednesday.
You can browse through the frugally classic collection here. A full range of sizes will be available for customers to try on during the sale but all purchases will ultimately be made online and shipped.

Cinzia Rocca’s Samples on Sale
Cinzia Rocca specializes in high-end leather, wool and cashmere coats that are made in Italy from the highest quality fabrics. The collection is sold at at stores like Bergdorf Goodman and Nordstrom and basic styles normally retail for about $1000 and more.
Through October 19, Cinzia Rocca fans can snag true designer samples at a fraction of their retail prices. When we say designer samples we mean the literal term, which translates to a true size 6. That also means there is typically only one of each style.
Sample sale prices range from $200 for girls coats to $1000 for a fur trimmed woman's coat. We suggest sticking to the "walking coats" or knee length styles because they are the most versatile in our urban lifestyle. They are also the most abundant and affordability priced at just $400. Capes and short jackets are even less expensive at $300 each. Long coats without fur are $500.

Columbus Day Outlet Sales
Columbus Day these days doesn't mean much unless you work in banking, work for the post office or love a good sale weekend. It's still a bit early for mainstream retailers to begin heavy discounts but that doesn't mean there aren't deals to be had.
Those looking for some fun day-off discount shopping should proceed to your local outlet center. Just beware, some outlet stores are better at the holiday hype than the holiday discounts. Read below to find out the promotions at some of our favorite outlet stores at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets.
Bottega Veneta
If you're looking for extra savings on a supple woven bag you're out of luck. The only additional discounts for the weekend will be in the shoe department where shoes are an additional 60% off.

Shoppers at Chloe can save an additional 20% off the outlet price when shopping over the weekend. Right now the majority of the collection is a full year behind what is currently in stores. We were also told that the outlet got a nice shipment of Marcie and Paraty bags. The prices on these brand classics, however, are full retail. See, we told you outlets can be sneaky!

Every weekend throughout the month of October, shoppers can save an extra 25% off of almost everything in the outlet store. Exclusions include classic shirts for men and women. The majority of the merchandise is winter 2011 and a bit of spring 2011.

All Moncler merchandise is 35% off of retail. We are told that the store, which has been open about a year, does not offer any additional promotions. Those looking to stock up now will find a good variety of colors and textures including shiny styles, full length coats and even some wool varieties.

Columbus Day at Tom Ford looks like it may be the best of the bunch. The outlet is offering an a additional savings between 25% to 50% off already reduced merchandise. Saks Friends & Family Dates
Last week Bloomingdale's ran their friends and family sales and customers were very disappointed by the numerous brands that were excluded from the promotion. Later this month, Saks will start their friends and family sale and we expect customers will find the same disappointing exclusions.
This season, the Saks friends and family sale will from from Thursday, October 18 through Sunday, October 21. Last time around participating brands were discounted 20% off, jewelry was 15% off and beauty and fragrances were entirely excluded. Presale for the fall promotion will begin next week.
If you're looking for a good beauty discount you should consider planning for the Sephora friends and family sale, which will run from October 18 through the end of the month. In addition, beauty addicts should keep their eyes open for Lord & Taylor's friends and family sale, which customarily includes Chanel....

Inside Schutz Shoes
Since the Great Recession the boutiques that line Madison Avenue have become a lot more diverse. Now more than ever you can find stores with $3000 cashmere sweaters kissing distance from boutiques with $70 cashmere slacks.
Most New Yorkers didn't know what to expect when Schutz, the Brazilian footwear emporium, opened their first state-side store. The boutique, which is across from Barneys and next door to the anticipated Brian Atwood store, is stocked with fashion forward shoe styles that are all priced very attractively.
Most shoes in the new boutique are spiked and studded and priced between $125 and $300. Many savvy shoppers compared Schutz's shoe assortment to Zara's off-the-runway look-for-less assortment. There has even been some debate if a particular Schutz shoe style too closely resembles the Louboutin Startatata and if they created a too closely related version of the Celine Luggage tote.
In addition to shoes, the new boutique also has handbags, a small assortment of sweaters and some great looking metallic leather jackets for $700. Interestingly enough, we are told that every two weeks the store is stocked with new styles. This also means that some styles are quickly "retired."
We can see Schutz quickly becoming an earnest part of the uptown shopping culture as consumers look to pick up an inexpensive novelty shoe to match a particular outfit. After all, fast fashion can turn out better than other fashion!
