We can’t complain too much about the weather this past Winter but we are very excited that it’s officially Spring. Warm weather, open-toe shoes and getting rid of a heavy overcoat is all we need to be happy. (Well, almost.)
As we prepare for the bi-annual wardrobe shift, it’s become apparent that adding a single item to our closets will be nearly impossible. This is the perfect time of year for a Spring closet detox. Sell:
This category consists of the coveted pieces that doesn’t fit your style, the sky-high heels that are painful to walk in, the impulse buy that really triggered instant buyer’s remorse. These are some of the items you’ve been meaning to get rid of but just haven’t gotten around to yet.
Keep:
Gather the items that fit and you’re excited to wear again. Organize this pile in your closet so you can see and easily retrieve all key pieces clearly.
Maybe:
The maxi dress everyone has already seen you wear, the designer jeans that don’t exactly fit, do you know why you’re keeping these pieces? This is the hardest category to mitigate but there is a handy checklist will help you decide if its worth keeping or time to let go. Some questions you can ask yourself include: Having I worn this item in the past 6 months? Does it fit? Would I buy it again?
