I love how every season animal prints are lauded as a new trend. Do animal prints ever go out of style? It doesn’t seem so, however, sometimes they can come off as cheesy if when left untamed. This season, a tigers print specifically is catching the attention of top trend spotters.
Getting out of the basic leopard-cheetah-snakeskin routine might not be easy but it’s worth the effort. We find the vertical stripes to be fresh and a little more restrained. My favorite tiger pieces are the long coats. This Giambattista Valli double-breasted long coat is as wild as it is refined. Here is another coat option from Dolce & Gabbana and a knee-length option from Simonetta Ravizza or Proenza Schouler.
If you’re not willing to make a big coat commitment you can always opt for a dress or top. Here is an adorable mini-dress from Valentino Red or a silk blouse from Dolce.
I would never suggest going from top to toe in any animal print but you can always just adorn your feet for a more subtle take on this trend. Here are Aquazzura ballet flats, pony hair print work boots from Proenza Schouler and Attico flats with an ankle band.
My very favorite item might be these tiger print sunglasses from Chimi. Clearly, I have too many favorites.
You can style tiger print like most other animal prints. I like going with a traditional color-blocking philosophy. Some people like to go “wild” and clash different prints. It’s not easy to do and easily becomes distracting to the eye. I especially love pairing the browns with jewel tones like, red and green. You can even add some flash with the sparkle of a sequin.
