We didn’t see the straw bag trend coming until it already happened. It seems as if there are straw, wicker, raffia and rattan bags almost everywhere you look. The thing is, we still can’t get enough.
We especially love that the basket weave can be found in almost any price point. Nordstrom, especially, has lots of styles from which to choose. It’s the perfect size for a towel and sunscreen.
On the higher priced– designer side– of the spectrum we are smitten with the Fendi straw Baguette ($2600) or this intricately woven straw and python Pickaboo bag ($6100). We especially love this Eric Javits straw tote ($400). It’s clean, minimalistic but not too fragile.
Sure, the bags have taken the spotlight with this trend but there are also lots of other items sneaking in a basket weave. We love these straw woven sandals for only $70, a wrinkle combatting fedora ($18) works wonders for your skin and here are fiesta-ready earrings from Kate Spade ($88).
