It’s a new year and, of course, there are new trends.
Off White, which was launched in 2013 quickly became a streetwear brand with a large cult following all over the world. The brand originally made it’s name for it’s spray painted menswear but it’s the woman’s accessories that are catching fire.
During Paris fashion week, Off-White’s Virgil Abloh (also Kanye’s creative director) presented a women’s collection that was displayed on the ground like traditional counterfeit merchandise. The see-now, buy-now collection was a hit and the Binder Clip Bag ($950) stole the show. The bag is quite minimalistic but punctuated by a binder clip closure and accompanied by an extra guitar strap that looks like a police tape with the company logo.
The bags quickly sold out when they became available after the fashion presentation but stores have recently been restocked. All the European sites sold out immediately but it appears as if the American market is a little behind on this trend. Right now, the Binder Clip Bag is currently available at Barneys (white is sold out), Maxfield (LA) and Hirshleifers (LI, NY).
