The tree is ‘lit’ and Rock Center is in full Christmas mode. Who could object to a stroll down 5th and over to Saks Fifth Avenue?
It’s not quite second markdown time but we couldn’t help from taking inventory of all the nice and naughty shoes on sale. As usual, the sale shoes are displayed on racks according to size. It tends to get a little messy during sale season but the racks seemed more organized than usual.
While browsing, we found thigh-high Balenciaga stretch boots in velvet that are $976 from $1400 and pink knife boots that are $567 from $945. There is a large variety of Manolo Hangisi heels in assorted colors. We were most surprised by the Gucci selection that’s still available. Rainbow platform sneakers are $597 from #995, wedge snake sandals are $540 from $900 and Gucci ghost slip-on sneakers are $350 from $580. There are dozens of pictures from the store right this way.
Christian Louboutin shoes are also discounted 40%. A full assortment of pics are here. On the way out, we spotted piled boxes of Vetements x Manolo but they haven’t been added to the sale section. Considering how many pairs are still left, we wouldn’t be surprised if they hit the racks soon.
The next ‘hard’ markdown won’t be until after Christmas, when the shoe discount will hit 50% off. We expect that there will be a 20% off discount promotion, which will give shoppers a bit of a Christmas second markdown presale opportunity.
