It doesn’t take a fortune teller to predict that the Roger Vivier sale would be popular but we were surprised to learn that fans stated lining up for the sale 10 hours before it opened. Those who didn’t camp out all night prior to the sale opening, found themselves waiting an average four hours to enter the sale.
Don’t say that we didn’t warn you!
On Sunday afternoon, there was no line to get into the sale. There was no line to check your coat. There was no line to pay either. As a matter of fact, on Sunday, there were more employees working at the sale than people shopping the sale. The best part was that there were still mountains shoes from which to shop.
Almost all the merchandise is reduced 50% to 60% off retail. Basic black pumps with no signature buckle start at $225 and long and ornate boots are priced up to $2000. Most buckle shoes are $300 to $350. A small assortment of little girl’s buckle shoes were $200.
Take note, the best selection ranges from size 39 and up. If you’re outside of that range, you might have a harder time finding your size in the buckle section but there are still lots of other styles from which to choose.
The handbag section is still fully stocked with a rainbow of colors. There are dozens of great clutches, Miss Vivs and micro Miss Vivs. Prices start at about $525 from a small bag and go up to about $2000 for a more ornate evening clutch. The wallet and accessory section is now very small.
Those who love a fine shoe should absolutely consider “shopping by.” It’s sad to say, but snagging even a basic Vivier for $225 seems like a steal. The sale runs through Tuesday and we are told there will be no restocking or end-of-sale discounts but we’ll keep updated if anything changes. More pictures are after the jump.
