Last month, we reported that Chanel was redesigning their Maxi and Jumbo style Classic Bags. In addition, we were told that Chanel would be raising prices on these styles as part of the design re-vamp.
Chanel shoppers, can sigh a breath of relief. Iana dos Reis Nunes, a spokeperson for the House of Coco, confirmed that the iconic bags were being restyled but stated that the prices will not be increased. In August, the prices of all classic style Chanel bags were increased 20% to 30%. And that’s it, for now!
For the record, the Maxi bag is $3,700 and the Jumbo size is $4,000. The updated Maxi and Jumbo bags will more closely resemble the large-style Classic bags with an extra flap, a large double CCs clasp, three flat pockets, a zipped inside pocket and a lip-stick pocket. The new designs will be in stores as part of the Cruise collection, later this month. Full bag details and cruise colors are detailed below.
