I have a love-hate relationship with jeans. They are so easy to wear with about anything but for that reason, it’s easy to fall into a rut –jeans and a tee, jeans and a sweater, jeans, and a jacket. Sometimes I have to push myself to swap out the denim for real pants or slacks or even a great pair of cigarette pants.
Then there are the always-changing denim styles. There are skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, high waisted, low rise, and, most recently the perplexing barrel cut. I suppose you need a variety for different outfit outcomes. I admit, sometimes it’s. just. hard.
Considering the difficulties dungarees present, I try to keep my denim investment at around $100, which might seem impossible to some and indulgent to others. For me, it’s just right. The most recent Frame President Day sale seems like the perfect time to replace a style you love or try something new.
Most jeans are priced in that sweet spot of $100 and $200. I’m a bit picky. I don’t like holes. I don’t like cropped. I prefer a dark wash over too light and they have to make your ass look great. With that in mind, the above are some worthy considerations.
