Every year Housing Works hosts a fundraising event called Design on a Dime. The event highlights the world’s most celebrated interior designers who are asked to create room vignettes with new merchandise that is donated and then sold for 50% to 70% off retail.
The Opening Night Reception, which will take place on Thursday, April 25, is celebrated with hundreds of VIPs, designers and Housing Works supporters. A-list design enthusiasts mingle with top designers and attendees are encouraged to purchase the exhibited merchandise. You can buy Opening Night tickets here. Experts consider this one of the best bargain sales with the most stylish pieces.
As usual, you will want to attend the opening night to get the best pieces but those looking to design on a penny may want to wait until the very end of the event– Saturday, April 27. Last year, the prices of all remaining merchandise was slashed to small fractions of their value.
Remember, all proceeds benefit Housing Works, which serves people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. So, shop early, shop late but shop and look great!
