MyTheresa Private Link Extra 20% Off

MyTheresa is always a little slower on markdowns than many other luxury retailers but its sale is about to get interesting. Starting Friday, MyTheresa will begin offering an extra 20% off a selection of sale items but we were given the thumbs up to share the link with MadSpy readers for early access now.

You can click here to access the sale selection now and use the code EXTRA20 at checkout to engage the additional savings.

MyTheresa is a popular European online luxury store based in Munich, Germany. The site was acquired by Neiman Marcus in 2014.  Most recently, Neiman Marcus was accused by its creditors of attempting to secretly transfer the lucrative MyTheresa asset into the hands of its private equity group. The transfer to new ownership would effectively block creditors from making claims on the asset in the event of a bankruptcy.

But enough about retailer gossip, back to our private promo link!

Some of the better finds include a large variety of Valentino bags that come out to about 50% off. This beach bag is available in every combination but my favorite is the canvas and leather that comes to $780 from $1400. This Shift Balenciaga bag comes to $667 from about $1400. A drawstring bag from TheRow is $480 from $1200 and the satin Ascot bag is $400 from $990.

Going for shoes, you’ll find Paris Texas high boots for $500 from $1040, Nicholas Kirkwood Beya loafers come to $260 from $540 and Givenchy slides are $385 from $690. The best part is many shoe styles are still available in a full assortment of sizes.

Over among the clothing, you’ll find this Balmain blazer that’s about $1000 from $2300 US retail and a tank with buttons along the shoulders is $140 from $395 US retail. A Versace silk skirt comes to $400 from $1250 and those hugely popular Khaite jeans are $200 from $400.

After all the extreme markdowns we’ve seen, not all of the merchandise on MyTheresa might seem so inexpensive. Sometimes that’s the tradeoff you get for finding full-size ranges this late in the season. On the bright side, some items are priced lower than in the US. (Balmain is a clear example.) Also, there is no sales tax, duties or shipping charges. Maybe that’s why Neiman’s is trying to stash the site.

    Net-a-Porter’s Final Sale, Extra Discounts

As the winter blues set in we have been awaiting Net-a-Porter’s explosive final markdown as a ray of sunshine. This end-of-season event usually only lasts a few weeks and is delivered with an extra 20% off.

This season’s big event started today. Look for items marked ‘Sale Must Haves‘ to see what’s included in the extra discount promotion. Usually, the merchandise that’s already the most discounted and various designers aren’t applicable.

Take note, when this sale strikes, merchandise tends to go very quickly. The shoes and bags are always the first to fly off the site. This PVC Valentino beach bag is $725 from $1300 and a studded belt bag is $525 from $1300. These Isabel Marant shoes are about $280 from $875 and Gianvitto Rossi pumps are the same price.

Everything gets a little more interesting when you start shopping for clothing. There is still a large assortment of clothing and the sizing variety is quite large. Check out this Ulla Johnson floral print silk blouse for $180 from $450 and this Dolce & Gabbana floral print skirt is $510 from $1145.

The NAP final sale usually lasts just a couple of weeks. Then the section completely disappears. TheOut is the next stop– as it becomes past season fashion.

    Farfetch Extra 20% Off Sale

The sale selections at our local haunts are getting pretty dismal but overseas stores are much better stocked and the discounts are starting to get competitive. Farfetch started a promotion today where sale merchandise is discounted an extra 20%. Use the code JAN20 to engage the additional discount.

    ???? @giulialoschi

Among the bags, we found this Givenchy clutch that’s about $540 from $830. This minimal Bottega Veneta bag is $1500 from $3200, a Saint Laurant Catherine crossbody is $1230 from $2550 and this Givenchy Eden is $1410 from $2850.

These Paris Texas low boots are a great find at $200 from $613. Saint Laurent kiki metallic heels are $310 from $800 and Givenchy slides are $320 from $575. These Rosetta Getty sandals are $120 from nearly $500 and available in nearly every size.  We also spotted this pretty Ganni sweater that’s $250 from $450.

Balmain tee without gold buttons is $180 from $350 and a blue tank with gold buttons is available in a small and extra small for $160. A white version is $140 and is available in a size 44, which is a large. Balmain tanks are normally $395, which makes both these options a great deal.

A lot of the best sale merchandise is already gone and prices seem a little high on much of what remains. Some good digging can uncover some finds but it will take some commitment and time.  Only items marked “Extra20” are eligible for the additional savings. There is no official promo end date but we summarize that it will run through the end of the month.

    Where to Shop this Weekend

This week has been very exciting for end-of-season discount shoppers. Ironically, it kicked off with a Neiman Marcus extra 20% off sale and ending with a big Neiman Marcus consolidation that just went live with an added 20% off. (You can read more about Consolidation here.)

Thursday evening, LuisaViaRoma started offering an extra 30% off sale merchandise with the code FR30 and earlier this week Net-A-Porter‘s sale hit 80% off on some merchandise. Intermix started offering an additional 50% off sales items. MatchesFashion and Tessabit have promotions of an extra 20% off sale.

If you’re tired of this past season, you can get a jump start on new collection savings. 24S has a special where new collection items are 25% off. (There are full details here.) There are still some good in-season items left on sale at Ssense but the markdown section will be removed Friday morning.

Below are some of our favorite sale items. We will refresh the selection throughout the weekend and try to remove any merchandise that’s sold out. We know too well of the disappointment that comes with an unavailable item you want.

Neiman Marcus Consolidation Sale: Extra 20% Off (Pics)

Over the course of this past week, Neiman Marcus hubs have been accepting deliveries from satellite stores all over the country. The annual ritual, which is referred to as the consolidation sale event kicks off on Thursday morning at stores and will come with the added bonus of an additional 20% off. The extra 20% off will be available online officially on Friday but we have a feeling it will go live sooner.

I took the journey to Hudson Yards Neiman Marcus, which is essentially a day trip from the Upper East Side. There is no fast way to go get there and back. It’s a horror. I digress.

All shoes are reduced up to 70% off. The promotional discount will bring some shoe styles to close to 80% off. The sale selection is organized on racks, in their boxes, with their mates. The display has a feel of Marshalls or DSW but, on the bright side, you don’t need to ask anyone for assistance. From a retail standpoint, it’s probably a missed opportunity for both the store and the customer to create relationships. This layout, however, is probably just easier for everyone. Here are some pictures.

Among the sale styles, there are plentiful options from Manolo Blahnik, Tom Ford, YSL, Givenchy Christian Louboutin and a scattering of Gucci. You can click here to see pictures. Remember all prices will be an additional 20% off starting Thursday. Some of the online standouts include YSL Opyum boots that will be about $600 from $1700 once the additional discount kicks in. Manolo sandals will be $240 from $700, and Givenchy boots will $450 from $1300.

The bag selection at the store is dismal. There are a few Loewe sacs and various Louboutin options, which aren’t very desirable even after the additional discount. You can see pictures here. The online selection isn’t any better.

The racks of sale clothing are not plentiful at Hudson Yards. We wouldn’t suggest taking the trip if you’re seriously shopping for sale clothing.  Some current options that remain are this Missoni sweater that comes to $450 from $1450, a classic Alaia dress will come to about $1200 from $4000 and this Balmain classic mini dress will be $640 from $2000.

There are a lot of Moncler options online. This Moncler short jacket is available in all sizes and will come to $600 from $950 and fans of yellow can snatch up this Rhin style for $800 from nearly $1400. I’m personally a bigger fan of this reversible floral print style when the pattern is worn on the inside. This plaid version is nice too and still full price at Moncler boutiques.

Remember, the consolidation sale and added promotion will happen at stores on Thursday but the extra discount won’t be available online until Friday. (Or so, they say.) We suggest you take this extra time to leisurely scroll through all the sale options and then edit down your picks to what you really want.

    Net-A-Porter Clearance 80% Off

We were under the impression that Net-a-Porter was closing down its sale section as it usually does at this time of year. Instead, we were thrown a curveball and surprised with an additional clearance markdown.

Various items are now reduced to 80% off. This clearance sale is usually a shopping frenzy and attracts a large amount of shopping traffic.

Usually, the most discounted clothing is from prior seasons but we spotted some good finds at 80% off that are for Winter. This Re/Done puffer jacket is $270 from $1350 and still available in all sizes. This maxi skirt from AWAKE is $186 from $620, an Isabel Marant leather minidress is $960 from $3300, and this Zimmerman dress is $325 from $650. Be sure to check out the denim options. A second pair of these Grlfrnd jeans were just purchased for “backup.”

The shoe selection doesn’t really hit 80% off but some styles did take another markdown. Here is a pair of Golden Goose sneakers for $318 from $530 and Bottega Veneta two-tone slingbacks are $290 from $730. These Nicholas Kirwood sandals are really nice for about $200 from $725 and Beya loafers are under $200. Don’t miss the Amina Muaddi “glass slippers” that are $300 from $600.

Most of the sale options for bags have been more reduced at other retailers but there is still a decent selection. There is this Givenchy GV3 handbag and a Balenciaga tote that are possible considerations.

We sincerely suggest you hop on the site with a critical eye. Lots of items were much more reduced at other locations. We surmise that this clearance sale will last another week and then for a final push, the site will offer an additional 20% off. Afterward, NAP will close the curtain on the sale season. Better late than never.

Lake Como’s Tessabit Extra 20% Off Sale

Tessabit is a multi-brand luxury boutique based in Lake Como, Italy. It was the first store to carry Georgio Armani’s collection in the 70s and has remained on the cutting edge of trend and fashion ever since. More recently, Tessabit has their goals set on capturing the eyes of a New York shopper.

Starting today, you can save an extra 20% off sale merchandise with the code EXTRA20. Markdowns already scale 70% and the extra discount brings the total savings to near 80% off on some items.

The best part is that Tessabit’s merchandise is coming from Italy and already at a discount when compared to our retail prices. There is also no city or state sales tax. Some standouts include Saint Laurent sandals that come to about $300 from $645 and this Saint Laurant leather shopper is $800 from nearly $2000. This McQueen Knuckle clutch never goes out of style and now $960 from $1990. A Dolce & Gabbana dress is $725 from $2263, Bottega Veneta shoes are $210 from $719 and a Fendi top handle bag is $1472 from $4600.

Be sure to check out the men’s selection too. It’s very good. Also, be sure to keep your eyes focused on European designers. That’s where you will find the best values.

Reminder: Quero Sample Sale Shoes $99

Quero, the European handmade shoe brand, is blowing out all their remaining inventory following a holiday season pop-up on Madison Avenue. Nearly everything at the store including shoes, boots, oxfords, slides, and sneakers for men and women is just $99.

The sale store closes on Tuesday at noon. Better to snag an extra pair of handmade shoes while the deals are hot and the assortment is still plentiful. Click here for more details and to see pictures from inside the sale.

On the bright side, Quero shoes are predominantly sold online. If you can’t make it to the sample sale or don’t find what you desire, you can use the code MadSpy and save 20% off your online order.
