Bloomingdale’s friends and family sale kicked off this week. In case you missed our pre-sale post, you can now use the code FRIENDS to save 25% off many brands. Purchases not eligible for the friends and family discount can be applied towards a gift card promotion where you can receive a $25 gift card for every $100 you spend.
Now that it’s offically Fall, we figured we would scope out the actual store and see what we could find to enhance our chillier-weather wardrobe. Our first stop was the redesigned shoe floor, which is still a little disorienting. We instantly fell in love with these Alexander Wang cage booties. We weren’t totally horrified by these Marc Jacobs combat boots but if you have a bigger budget you might want to consider the Gucci version. The Mac Daddy of all combat boots is the Louis Vuitton version, obvi.
After moving off the shoe floor we traveled to the desginer clothing level. Unfortunatly, without any shoes, the entire floor seems a bit drab and lifeless. We did, however, get excited when we found several racks of designer clothing steeply discounted and then reduced an additional 50% off. We spotted a Palmer Harding stripped dress reduced to $210 from $700, a David Koma sweater is $110 from $700, a David Koma dress with a mirrored trimmed ruffle is now $330 from $2550. Other stand out items were this Mochino dress that’s just $225 from $750 and a Jil Sander knit sweater for $80 from over $400.
We have pictures of the designer finds we saw over this way. The best part is that these items are elegiable for the gift card promotion and many sales associates will let you apply them at checkout, which means you essentially recieve another 25% off.
Other sale highlights include these Gucci loafers that are 50% off, Monrow sweatpants that are $100 from $153 and lots of Missoni bedding is 40% off. The friends and family sale runs through October 8th. The next big Bloomingdales promotion will be in November where you can save $25 off every $100 you spend.
