Last week, we broke news about the upcoming final markdown at Bergdorf Goodman. With discounts hitting 75% off, it was hard to resist taking a closer look. We are sure glad we did.
There aren’t very many discounted handbags left at the store. We shot some photos for those still curious. Online we spotted this Off-White tote that’s $570 from $1370 and here is a JW Anderson rainbow tote for $500 from $990. There’s not much else beyond that.
Among the shoes, there is a scattering of Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutins. Both have been reduced several times. Balenciaga BB booties are reduced to $516 from $1290, Givenchy sandals are $250 from $650, and Fendi logomania pumps are $395 from $990. We also spotted a few unicorns, um, Chanel shoes on the sale racks. A black perforated Chanel heel is $560 from $1125 and an aqua strappy heel is $980 from $1400. We can’t honestly say that we would take home either pair of Chanel shoes even if they were free. You can see pictures here.
Sizes are very patchy in the online shoe sale section. There is one size of these Hangisi patterned heels that are $400 from $1025. Who is a lucky size 8? Here are The Row’s Granpa slippers in black or grey for $270 from $670 and these Loeffler Randall espadrille platforms are actually adorable for $80.
We love a good handbag and shoe edit but you know where to find us when designer clothing hits 75% off. On the fourth floor, we spotted a Fendi logomania sweater for $372 from nearly $1500, a Prada skirt with ruffles is $300 from $1390, and a sleeveless Alaia dress is $1000 from $4k.
The online selection isn’t nearly as exciting but there are a few gems. Here is a Zimmerman floral print dress for $380 from $950, a Rosie Assoulin beaded blouse is $275 from $1100, a Jonathan Simkhai blouse is $123 from $500, and this Alexander Wang dress is $56 from $225.
After the holiday weekend, there will be an additional discount promotion. Taking the risk is a personal preference.
