Sample Sale Prices at Bergdorf Goodman (30+ Pics)

The general consensus when shopping this late in the season is that you will only find the rejects left over. We challenge any fashion lover to shop Bergdorf Goodman’s final markdown and leave empty handed. Right now, the markdown is 50% off shoes and handbags and up to 75% off on clothing.

In the first floor, handbag atrium, there is only one table of discounted handbags. Even though there isn’t a lot of selection, the options that are left are not horrible. Some might even say they’re good. A PS11 is about $1000 from $1990, a Tom Ford calf hair Alix is $1870 from $3740 and a Stella McCartney rope embellished clutch is $759 from $1520. A full assortment of pictures can be seen here.

The discount on shoes is still just 50% off, where the discount at Barneys is 60%. The difference is that Bergdorf Goodman has a lot more classic wearable shoes. As a matter of fact a bulk of the inventory is Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik. Among the Louboutins is a mid-high pump with PVC around the parameter for $350 from $695 and the flat version is $319 from $595. (These are almost sample sale prices.) Cabochon embellished extra high Loubs are $700 from about $1400 and a studded version with patent detailing and bows are $650 from $1295. Broadening out from the red soles, we found our favorite Givenchy shark bit riding boots for $729 from $1450, Valentino Rockstud pony hair booties are $1719 from $2295 and Chanel quilted low moto boots are $709 from $1425. Check out pics of everything mentioned here.

Be prepared to make tough choices once you direct yourself towards the fashion because nobody can have it all. The selection ranges from quality basics to refined statement pieces. Falling into the more demure category is this Giambasttista Valli  classic gray cashmere dress is $790 from almost $2000, Celine black slacks are $619 from $1550 and a Balenciaga tulip skirt is $379 from $1535. Some of the more incredible fashion pieces include a heavy winter weight Alaia dress that’s $1400-ish from $5565, heavy weight Givenchy pants with zipper details are $839, a Mary Katrantzou asymmetrical dress is $1600 from $6400 and a Prada coat comprised of pieties and trimmed with mohair is $849 from $3200. (Here are pics.)

Some contemporary merchandise is 75% off but the majority is discounted 60%. After coming from the premier fineries it’s hard to settle your tastebuds on lesser reduced fashion. Among the selection is a lot more trendy and comprised of designers like Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, DVF and M Missoni.

There isn’t much merchandise online but with a little bit of sorting you can find a few winners. A lot of the bags are priced higher online but if you call the 800-number, a representative will connect with the store and make a price adjustment. Now, look through the rest of the pictures here and call for  your car, NOW!

    Net-A-Porter Final Clearance Extra 20%

This is what end of season shoppers call the final bow. As usual, Net-A-Porter is ending the season with an extra 20% off some sale merchandise. The additional discount brings the total markdown to over 80% on some items.

Use the code 20SALE at checkout. Take note, the additional discount CAN’T be used on items already labeled final markdown. Some applicable highlights include a Victoria Beckham dress for about $700 from $3000, a Fendi skirt that’s $425 from $1700 and a Lanvin print jumpsuit is about $900 from nearly $4000.

This sale usually lasts only two days. We suggest you snatch up what you can because the next time you see this selection it will be priced higher on the Outnet.

Where to Buy Fashionable Athletic Clothing

Chances are that if you made a new years resolution it was to work out more or lose weight. Even if you made a deal with yourself to be more lazy in 2015, you may need a bit of motivation to make it through month one. We find the best motivation is always fashion. It’s a wonder how much a new sports bra (or lounge pants) can motivate you to continue to accomplish your fitness goal.

Below is some of the best deals on the hottest athletic clothing:

    Stella McCartney
Adidas isn’t one of the most sought out brands by fashion insiders but once you slap on a Stella McCartney a Class Pass becomes irresistible. The most obvious place to shop for the designer altheltic line is Adidas, of course. Even though there is a great selection, the prices seem to be the highest.

If you want to grab a few deals on the outgoing season of Stella McCartney x Adidas, you’re going to have to hop around to a few sites and grab the odds and ends. For example, Net-A-Porter has this print running tank for 50% off $95. The matching running pants are on Kirna Zabete for $63 from $90. Over on the international site, MyTheresa, you will find a good selection of Stella gym fineries discounted between 30% to 40%. Be sure to also check out the designer’s own site. Some items are priced well, while other pieces can be found for less on other sites.

    Lululemon
It’s not what it used to be but neither is Equinox. The brand is famous for not having sales but we’ve noticed more merchandise on the markdown racks than ever. Online shoppers will need to head to the ‘We Made too Much‘ section, which is a euphemism for ‘if we reduce it by a dollar will you buy it?’ This zippy pullover is $69 from $128, these Skinny Groove pants are $69 from $98 and a basic sports bra is $39 from $52.

    Athleta
Gap’s Athleta may not yet be the go-to for mainstream athletic clothing but the collections are growing stronger every season–minus those strange skirt legging combos. The best part is that they have a healthy sale section. Right now, many items are reduced 40% to 50% off. After Christmas there was an additional 20% off promo but it’s not currently available. Keep your eyes open. For now, you can find these cross runner tights, which are also really soft, for $60 for $79, a puffer bomber jacket is $65 from $78 and here is a hooded zippy for $42 from $98.

    Target C9
It comes a time when you’re shopping that you say– this is totally fine. And guess what? Target’s C9, Champion collection, is perfectly acceptable–for everything from Soul Cycle to Blink. The best part is that right now there is a promotion on the athletic collection. These capri leggings are $21 from $35, this fleece jacket is $21 from $30 and here’s a tank for $19 from $27.

    Hervé Léger 70% Off

The Hervé Léger boutique, on Madison Avenue, has started the bi-annual clearance sale where winter clothing, shoes and accessories are reduced up to 70% off. The sale is also online and the selection is actually very good.

Inside, you will find a v-neck color blocked signature style bondage dress for $387 from $1290, a higher neck yellow and red color blocked dress for $335 from $1340 and a green a-line skirt is $340 from $1150. Newer styles are less reduced but a bit more on-trend. This scalloped neck, white a-line is $676 from $1690 and this more daytime windowpane color blocked dress is $716 from $1790.

The dresses are always the highlight of an Hervé Léger sale but classic-style pumps for under $200 are a no-brainer. The belts are also quite amazing, although they are a pricey. Be warned, sizes do tend to sell out quickly. This is one of those sales that you don’t want to wait too long.

    Chanel Is Now 60% Off

Chanel always says that they do not discount bags and we have always been able to call their bluff. This season, however, Chanel has succeeded in strong-arming Neiman Marcus into not putting any bags on sale. Now, the only place you can find a discounted Chanel bag is Saks Fifth Avenue.

    Saks NYC

The discount on Chanel bags at Saks is 40% but we really couldn’t find a style worth highlighting. The best among the sale merchandise is a small lumpy sequined bag.

Saks just started a second markdown on shoes today, bringing the discount to 60%. Most of what’s left are boots. A pair of low cowboy-style boots come to $660 and tall leather riding boot are just $690.  You can see a selection of the sale boots in the jump pictures. Remember, Saks no longer takes returns on markdowns this late in the season. So be careful with your purchases.

Heading over to Neiman Marcus — even if they don’t have sale bags — you can still find jewelry and shoes for 55% to 60% off. A pair of pearl drop earrings are now priced at $236 and a pearl bracelet with interlocking Cs is $281. Photos in the jump.

Chanel doesn’t sell any fashion merchandise online. If you’re interested in any of these items you will have to call the individual stores. If you have a great Chanel tip, email us here, so that we can share the good fortune.

    Nordstrom’s Final Markdown

It’s amazing how many times you can shop the same store and still find new items to grab your attention. This is especially true after additional markdowns. Right now, Nordstrom took their final price cut and designer clothing is priced up to 65% off.

A Saint Laurent sheer blouse with over sized red dots is now $765 from $2250, an embroidered Alexander Wang shift dress is $757 from $1895 and a Markus Lupfer fish sweater is $155 from $390. Most shoes are still 40% off but there are still some better deals. Saint Laurent slip-on sneakers are $200 from $600 and Jason Wu pumps with a buckle are $302 from $890.

Louboutin fans should take note that Nordstrom just started carrying the red sole favorites. Hopefully, next season, the store will be able to offer customers red hot discounts.

    Ralph Lauren Now 70% Off

Ralph Lauren started their winter clearance today and merchandise is now reduced up to 70%. This isn’t the biggest discount for the Americana-designer but it is the time of year where you can find the best sale selection for the greatest discount.

A Black Label cashmere cardigan comes to $350 from $1195. Mind you, Ralph Lauren’s high end cashmere lasts forever. A Marguerite dress from the runway collection is about $1000 from $3700 and select colors of women’s polos are $17 from $90. For men, a ribbed sweater with elbow patches is about $50 from $125 and a solid color tie from the Purple Label is $77 from $215.

In most cases, the Ralph Lauren boutique will match the online prices but you will need to wait for a manager’s authorization. In this instance it might just be easier to shop online.

You should take note that the new markdown just started today and merchandise is selling rather quickly. We suggest not procrastinating on checkout. We had items sell out as they were in our shopping cart. And it’s always ironic how much more you “need” an item once you can’t have it.

Complete Fashion Credits From Taylor Swift’s Blank Space

Taylor Swift has undoubtedly shaken things up. From her dancing to her side bangs — the girl is on a roll. In addition to Taylor’s crossover into pop, her style choices are getting the attention of mainstream fashion.

In Taylor’s most recent video, Blank Space, the singer changes outfits more than 20 times. Each gown, dress and earring is more spectacular than the next. We couldn’t help but want to emulate the same wardrobe and set out to find all of the fashion credits from the video.

With the help of ‘Mia Rose’ we were able to piece together a fashion play-by-play of everything worn by Taylor Swift in her Blank Space video. Most of the fashion is from spring 2014 and already out of stores but we attempted to include links to items that are still available or close to what the designer previously created.
