    Department Store Holiday Shipping Deadlines

Usually, the holiday season means walking alongside cars to avoid slow-walking tourists. This year stores are much more empty but online shopping still maintains a lot safer. This year, the aggravation of missorted packages and shipping delays seems to be even more angering than crowded streets. It’s even more important than ever to plan ahead.

The hours to take advantage of free shipping is ticking away quickly. Lucky, most New York stores will offer a messenger service for free or a small fee. Store prices tend to range from $15 to $30. Many times, retailers will wave the fee for expensive purchases. It never hurts to ask.

Prada Private Sale 40% to 50% off

Prada’s seasonal sale kicked off at boutiques and department stores today. Unlike some other higher-end brands, Muccia is trying to keep the discounts a little discreet. Department stores launched private sale links and codes are necessary to see the discounts. You will need to specifically ask about sale items when shopping at the boutique.

Update: Moda Operandi is the most recent retailer to share a private link to discounted Prada. The disount is 50% off everything, You can click here to access the assortment and use the code SHH50 to engage the savings at checkout.

Over this way, you can access the Prada private sale at Saks Fifth Avenue. Clothing is 50% off. Shoes, handbags, and accessories are discounted by 40%. Once items are added to your cart, you’ll need to use the code N56C19V to activate the discounts.

The discount arrangement is the same at Neiman Marcus. You can click here to access the private sale. No code is needed. The Nordstrom Prada selection is this way and doesn’t require a code either. Some shoes at  Nordstrom are discounted 50% off. These loafers are $495 from $990 and sneakers are $345 from $690.
Some of the highlights include these Prada loafers that come to $552 from $920, a Nylon tote is $762 from $1270 and a Prada logo belt is $315 from $525. Discounts are the same at both stores but the selection at Saks is more extensive. That doesn’t mean you should skip over Neimans, which has some shoes reduced to 50% off.

Saks: Get Up to $400 Off as Chic Happens

Sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue and ShopStyle

One of my favorite catchphrases is: “Chic Happens.” Obviously, it’s because the best outfits are unintentional. When it’s good, it’s just good– and you immediately know it.

Saks Fifth Avenue challenged me to put together a head to toe look that can fit into many budgets. I found exactly everything I needed and Chic Happened.

My head-to-toe look includes a combination of items that easily come together as an adorable ensemble or can be integrated with items you already own. I started with these girly Cinq a Sept tied flare leg jeans, which are very on-trend for this season. I added a minimalistic Cinq a Sept cashmere sweater ($345), which is perfect for balancing the pants. A simple pair of Loeffler Randall ankle boots ($395), a Staud bag ($210), and then you can top it off with a Moose Knuckles hat ($150). Frame jeans ($220) are an easy alternative to change up the outfit for a more casual occasion.

As we are talking about shopping on a budget. Saks is offering a great “Get up to $400 OFF” promotion that starts today and runs through December 19. The breakdowns are below. I’m quite sure that with the extra savings you can make chic happen too.

    Spend $250, get $50 off
    Spend $450, get $100 off
    Spend $750, get $175 off
    Spend $1000, get $250 off
    Spend $1500, get $400 off
    (Excludes Beauty & Fragrance)
