    Coltorti: Big End-Of-Season Discounts

A lot of our local stores are completing sale season but that the world is big. Sale season ain’t over just yet! Coltorti is a multi-brand store with several boutiques along the Eastern coast of Italy and they are offering an extra 25% off Spring and Summer merchandise with the code DEALMOON25.

Some of the more interesting purchases include items from this past winter season. This woman’s Moose Knuckles puffer comes to $233 from about $600, a Mr. & Mrs. Italy parka is $670 from  $1040 and this Woolrich parka with a fur hood is $486 from $1100. Okay, maybe we are getting ahead of ourselves– it’s still August.

Head over this way to find the perfect pink Mansur Gavriel bucket bag for $350 from $600. This YSL smoking jacket is $1000 from $2250 and here is a double-breasted style. Over this way is a Fendi logo pencil skirt that’s $465 from $1100 US and this Dolce & Gabbana bustier is $330 from $735.

It’s really worth a scroll. There are lots of gems. It’s also worth noting that there are no taxes or duties and shipping is just $15.

    Weekend Shopping: Impulses & Obsessions

It’s hard to believe it we are already in the depths of mid-August. Sale season has never gone this long and it’s really beginning to come to an end. On the bright side, that will give us some time to point our attention focused on soaking in the last days of Summer. I really try to use this time to direct my attention towards the kids and create memories that will withstand a decade of time.

In shopping news, the end-of-season sales are nearly all over. Net-A-Porter will close out their sale section on Monday. There won’t be any additional markdowns or promotions. If there is anything you’ve been stalking, now would be the time to pull the trigger.

Some of the available highlights include this Tom Ford tote that’s $1200 from $2400. These Givenchy knee-high boots are perfect for fall and ring in at $718 from $1800 and Balenciaga slingbacks are $475 from $950. The best deals are among the clothing.

It’s also worth noting that the Saks sale is nearing its end. It’s been hard to keep up as new merchandise is constantly being added. Some new finds include this Zimmerman silk blouse for $470 from $900 and these Midnight 00 tulle heels are $333 from $1110. I added some new markdowns to the post here.

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale will go public on Wednesday. Some of the sale highlights include Vega sneakers for $112 from $150 and this La Mer mini hydration beauty kit for $90. You can click over to our Nordstrom post to see all of my top picks from the sale.

The LuisaViaRoma new season sale is worth a check-out. The newest fall collection is reduced 20% off. No code is needed. The discount is automatically applied once items are placed in your cart. Some highlights include a Mansur Gavriel pouch that comes to $480 from $600 and a larger size Jacquemus bag $500 from $630. More details are over this way.

That’s all folks. Until next time… same time, same place?

    LuisaViaRoma 20% Off Fall Collection

LuisaViaRoma is hosting an anniversary sale were the newest fall collection is reduced 20% off. No code is needed. The discount is automatically applied once items are placed in your cart.

Some of the highlights include this Mansur Gavriel pouch that comes to $480 from $600 and here is another version with a strap that’s $400 from $500.  Manolo Blahnik jeweled “birks” are $770 from $960 and we always love a Max Mara camel color coat as it’s $1350 from $1700. These mid-size Jacquemus bags are always early-season sell-outs and worth snagging for $500 from $630. There are more Jacquemus color and size options here.

The site still has a very robust sale section comprised of Summer and past season markdowns. Check out this satin embroidered midi-dress that’s $293 from $838 and this linen dress is about $180 from $451. We are crazy about these bi-color heels that are $180 from $365.

If you’re not averse to full price, the Gucci selection of ready-to-wear and accessories is really great. There are even home accessories, which even includes wallpaper that can be beautifully framed.

We personally love shopping at LVR. Purchases always come incredibly fast and beautifully packaged. It’s *almost* as good as going to Florance and shopping in person. (Who are we kidding!)

Intermix: VIP Link to 30% Off

Intermix started a flash sale that will save you a selection of priced merchandise. The sale isn’t slated to start until Thursday but you can use this “VIP link” to access the savings now.

Some of the notable items are this LoveShackFancy eyelet minidress that comes to $262 from $375, a SEA sweatshirt is $105 from $150, and this Grlfrnd strapless denim dress is $187 from $268.  This Dion Lee corset is insanity but selling out in many sizes. We love the rose quartz on these Lizzie Fortunato earrings that are now $205 from $295.

This sale will open to the public on Thursday and be done after one day. The discounts aren’t as good as the sale-on-sale promotions but, at this point, the assortment of good options is plentiful.

    Sephora Sale: 50% Off

A sample sale consisting of discounted beauty products might not yield enough savings to justify a journey. Give us beauty discounts just a few clicks away and we are on it. Right now you can save up to 50% off a great assortment of luxury beauty items from Sephora.

Some of the highlights include a great selection of Tom Ford lipsticks that are just $18 from $38 and lip lacquer is $27 from $55.  We also suggest snagging a Marc Jacobs foundation for $28 from $55 and here are Marc Jacobs lipsticks for $16 from $32.

If you’ve been curious about the Amika hairdryer, this would be a good time to give it a “spin.” It’s currently reduced to $180 from $300. Some people say it’s better than the Dyson. Here is the curl set for $150 from $250.

The sale section is pretty well-stocked at the moment and there are no lines to check out. (Ha-ha) It’s no doubt that this is an ideal way to shop at Sephora (even if it’s not on sale).

    Saks End-of-Season Markdowns

At this late date, it’s possible that current markdowns are orthogonal to COVID. After all, it’s August and retailers must wave their Summer merchandise good-bye. The end-of-season discounts at Saks Fifth Avenue are rather good shouldn’t go overlooked.

We were surprised to see any discounted designer handbags but there are some notable finds. This Givenchy top-handle bag is now $1075 from $1250 and this Valentino belt bag is $838 from $2100. Among the shoes are these Balenciaga glitter Knife shoes for $278 from $600, Valentino boots are $660 from $1650 and Gucci slides are $475 from $950.

Shoes and handbags are always nice but the clothing options are even better. Here is a an Alaia dress for $850 from $3500, The Row skinny pants are $228 from $950, and a Saint Laurent satin blazer is $860 from $3600.

We are at the end of the season. Prices are unlikely to go any lower. We suggest you take a final scroll before we begin back-to-school talks.

Introducing: Online Discount Store Haute Find

The novelty of discount stores and flash sales has waned over the course of Corona. It’s a new era in shopping and the newly launched concept of HauteFind is ushering in a new concept that’s both exciting and deal worthy.

HauteFind is fully stocked with unbelievable authentic designer deals from Valentino, Anya Hindmarch Stuart Weitzman, and more. The site works on a weekly rotation of markdowns. New heavily discounted designer merchandise is added every Sunday and each following week the reductions increase.

The kicker is that sizes and quantities are limited. The deals start out very good and waiting can mean a missed opportunity or increased savings. It’s your call but nail-biting is unseemly.

Let’s take a closer look. Over here is a gorgeous Valentino Rockstud tote that is perfect for work and is reduced all the way down to $686 from nearly $2500. This Valentino Rockstud crossbody camera bag is currently $291 from $895. We can’t even believe they lasted to this markdown!

These Valentino Rockstud pool slides already went to a forth-week discount and are just $200 from $725. These Stuart Weizman platforms are also a week-four deal and are only  $153 from $555.

The site is also stocked with fabulous ready-to-wear. Here is an Anya Hindmarch sweater for $207 from $995, This lace top is a forever piece and comes to $300 from $1450 and this print silk shirt is $283 from nearly $1900

The site is fully stocked with great items for men too. Don’t miss the large assortment of Valentino sneakers and men’s bags. Actually, the bags are perfect for anyone. Here is a camo backpack for $551 from $2000 and this pouch is $215 from $775. Both make very impressive gifts too.

Everything for sale on HauteFind completely authentic and brand authorized. Just a warning, the site is legitimately a discount lover’s find. Once you get started shopping it might become addicting.

Weekend Shopping: The Hermes Sale Debacle & More

The Hermes sale at Americana Manhasset took a turn worthy of thespian honors. There was bribery, line cutting, cursing, screaming thievery, fraud, acts of nature, threats, and ultimately a blackout. The sale only lasted one day (thankfully) as the power went out in the entire neighborhood, on Friday.

The situation begs the question: At what extent will you go for discounts? I have always been known to circumvent the compromise. An undesirable designer item purchased, even on sale, is typically no value to me. I rather not have a bag even at half-price if it’s the wrong color. My closet isn’t forever expanding and I choose to reserve the valuable real estate for items I truly desire.

This guidance is, even more, the case when it comes to Hermes. On sale or full price, Hermes is expensive. Oran sandals in Rouge Garance? No thank you. I rather spend $300 and have a more natural and wearable color. A Clic-Clac in Vert Anis? I rather save my money for something else.

This guidance isn’t only true of expensive brands. The same methodology can be applied to sales that carry inexpensive items. I often avoid sample sales of beauty products. One needs to calculate the cost of time and travel, the element of crowds, and remorseful purchases against the potential savings. Usually, a trip to Sephora will save you money and you’ll ultimately have less clutter.

A good shopper buys things on sale to have them. A stylish shopper buys beautiful things to own them.

Moving on to sales of worthy items. TheOutnet is offering an extra 30% off a preselected assortment of merchandise, which brings the total savings to 75% off on some items. This Alexander McQueen dress comes to only $360 from $2000, a classic Ellery dress with fluted sleeves is $150 from $705, and a Saint Laurent velvet blazer is $690 from $3300.

You can jump over to the Italian-located Tessabit, which gave us a special code TS15MADISON, which will save you 15% off new season items. You can apply the savings to this new pastel pink Gucci Marmont, or the new Fendi Joshua Vidas collection tote. Remember, there are no taxes or duties, which increases the savings.

If you are looking for some serious fashion without making a huge investment, I suggest you click over to the Moda Operandi sale, which is now an extra 20% off. This Temperley London glittered ombre dress is spectacular and comes to $550 from $2700 and Loewe sandals are about $300 from $750. You can see more of our great sale picks over here.

Earlier in the week, we found some serious deals on Ssense. Here is a Versace silk blouse for $300 from $1000 and this Valentino tote is $700 from $1300. Click over to more finds here.

The new season deals on Italist are worth hunting especially to get your most coveted item for a little bit less than you would pay at a store right now. Here is a Saint Laurent Lou waist bag for $750 from $995, a Gucci lingerie set for $800 from $1100 US, and Bottega Lido heels for $890 from over $1200 US. The full story is here.

Last, but certainly not least, Nordstrom kicked off its Anniversary sale to cardholders. There aren’t usually a lot of designers finds but there are a few key worthy purchases like this Riki lighted mirror (that I own and love) for $130 from $205 and this Stokke stroller for $485 from $650. More of our sale items can be found here.

That’s all folks. Until next time… same time, same place?
