    Manolo Blahnik’s First Markdown

    The new year means many things to different people. To us, the new year is the start of Manolo season. Every year, the Manolo Blahnik boutique takes their first markdown following the big ball drop.

    Currently, shoes and boots from the winter collection are now discounted to 33% off. This markdown should not cause too much excitement considering that department stores are running sales where Manolos are 60% off.

    In less than three weeks you can expect the discount to drop to 50% off and by early February the discount climbs to 75% off. That’s when we come running.     Neiman Marcus Last Call Sale: Third (Final) Markdown

    Neiman Marcus is the latest department store to take their winter merchandise to the third markdown. The discount at Neiman Marcus is officially up to 70% off and that includes some great shoes styles too.

    We spotted Jimmy Choo metallic flats for $177 from $590 and Sophia Webster floral d’Orsay heels are $227 from $650. We also suggest you check out the handbag section where there are still some highly desirable brands available in the markdown section.

    Neiman Marcus discounts are mostly the same as Bergdrof Goodman. This Lela Rose embellished coat is $870 form $3500. You can’t miss this Akris skirt that’s $150 from $600 and it’s still available in a full size run. We really love this Derek Lam bi-color oversized sweater that’s now $300 from $1200 and an Alexander McQueen jumpsuit is $1400 from $5800.

    Even though this is the final markdown, that doesn’t mean there won’t be additional discount promotions. Neiman Marcus often surprises customers with an additional 25% off discount or buy-more-save-more incentives. No worries, we’ll keep you posted.

    The IT- It: Off-White Binder Clip Bag

    It’s a new year and, of course, there are new trends.

    Off White, which was launched in 2013 quickly became a streetwear brand with a large cult following all over the world. The brand originally made it’s name for it’s spray painted menswear but it’s the woman’s accessories that are catching fire.

    During Paris fashion week, Off-White’s Virgil Abloh (also Kanye’s creative director) presented a women’s collection that was displayed on the ground like traditional counterfeit merchandise. The see-now, buy-now collection was a hit and the Binder Clip Bag ($950) stole the show. The bag is quite minimalistic but punctuated by a binder clip closure and accompanied by an extra guitar strap that looks like a police tape with the company logo.

    The bags quickly sold out when they became available after the fashion presentation but stores have recently been restocked. All the European sites sold out immediately but it appears as if the American market is a little behind on this trend. Right now, the Binder Clip Bag is currently available at Barneys (white is sold out), Maxfield (LA) and Hirshleifers (LI, NY).

    We suggest you jump on this newest must-have right now or you’ll stalking this relatively affordable it-bag until the next restock. We have no idea when that will be.

    Bergdorf Goodman Discounts Hit 75% Off

    Happy New Year!

    We highly suggest that you immediately click over to Bergdorf Goodman where you can now save up to 75% off winter merchandise. As a matter of fact, the prices at our violet home-away-from-home are more discounted than, even, Neiman Marcus.

    There is some serious fashion available at incredible prices. Here is a metallic jacquard tweed jacket from Delpozo is $440 from $1750, a Lanvin trench is $1900 from $7750 a Mary Katrantzou dress that’s embroidered with butterflies and a Dolce & Gabbana banana leaf print polo is $300 from $1245.

    The discount on shoes and handbags are unchanged but hold on.  There are usually limited time promotions where sale merchandise is discounted an extra 20%. Just be careful, merchandise tends to go very quickly during this markdown.
