Nordstrom Pre-Sale Today
As previously posted, the Nordstrom semi-annual sale starts May 21st but the pre-sale started today. Designer clothing and accessories are 40% off. Call now or have the garage send up your car-- your Thakoon dress isn't going to wait.

Christian Louboutin Rolandos $245?!
The girls where chattering last night about how Barneys.com had Christian Louboutin Rolandos on sale for $245! (They are normally $700.) By the time I got a chance to check it out there wasn't even a red dot of evidence to what had occurred. I called over to Barneys, on Madison, and the sales lady said she knows nothing about the website but their sale is starting on Tuesday. She doesn't know what the discount on Loubies will be but said that the .com price could be a good indication.
The store opens at 10am on Tuesdays --and ladies there will be a fight if Rolandos are $245. Size 9s get out of my way!

KD: How much are they taking off?
LD: She said 30%
KD: Really!
LD: It's really not that much if you think about it. The $1,400 sweater you like is still going to cost $980, plus tax. Give it a few weeks and it will be 50% off.
KD: If I wait it might not be there.
LD: That exact sweater might not be there but if you don't get that one you'll find something else. If you are really dying for that ONE sweater call over now and ask them to put it on hold.

Dior's sale quietly starts today and is publicly announced on 5/17.

Prada Sale Spring/Summer ’08 5/18
I was in Prada today and the scoop is that their sale starts June 1 but the pre-sale starts two weeks before. So that would mean you can start setting aside clothing, shoes, and accesories as early as 5/18. The rules are the same as most pre-sales. You see the master list, pick what you like, pay for it and then take it home or have it shipped starting June 1....

Gucci Spring/Summer ’08 Sale 5/20
The Gucci pre-sale starts Tuesday, May 20th. The event is by invitation only but email me if you need a contact or an invite. I've personally never had a problem, they are usually very nice. Either way, when you get there you want to get the master sale list, which contains all the items are included in the sale. If there are things you want you must pay for it on that day but you will not be able to take the items home until the sale officially starts on June 3rd. Of course, you'll get a recepit plus a Gucci hold ticket. Then on Tuesday, June 3rd your item will be ready for you to pick up.
The sale officially opens to the public on June 3rd. Some say that the good stuff will be gone by then but if you're like me you'll keep checking back until there is a second or third markdown.

Gucci Outlet in Secaucus, NJ
Today we took a spin past the Gucci Outlet in Secaucus, NJ. I've found some nice stuff there in the past but today was a bust. They had a lot of silver embossed Gucci logo bags but it's just not my thing. The only other item that caught my eye was these cashmere sweaters that were originally $995 and now reduced to $199.
As i said, a bit of a letdown and don't get me started about the family of four trying on shoes... I'll spare you the details!...
