Shopbop is offering a deal that might be hard to refuse. Right now, a selection of spring and summer merchandise is already discounted 70% off but for two days you can save an extra 25%. Use the code EXTRA18 at checkout to engage the additional savings.
Remember when Rodarte sweatshirts used to seem expensive? That was before Vetements and Off-White tried convincing us that a $900 sweatshirt is normal. Well, here is a classic Rodarte hoodie for about $100 from $345. Seems like a bargain, right?
As far as sales go, ShopBop's selection seems to be pretty on point. There is a large assortment of price points and even sizes that are still available. Seems like a good opportunity to pick up something extra nice before your big August vacation.
Mondays can be a hard recovery from a Summer weekend but a little shopping could be a great pick-me-up. Truth is, the weekend is just four days away. Saks Fifth Avenue's most recent discount promotion might be the perfect way to overcome the Monday blues. Right now, you can save an extra 15% off, which brings the total markdown on some items to nearly 75% off.
Twice a year, The Outnet hosts a clearance sale where merchandise is discounted an extra 50% off the lowest price cut. The markdown on many items is nearly 90%. As you would imagine, the merchandise goes very fast. For this reason, we are so excited that we can provide a VIP link ahead of the sale going public.
After the fireworks die down we excitedly await for Net-a-Porter's explosive final markdown. This end-of-season event usually only lasts a few weeks and is delivered with lots of extra discounts.
This season's big event started today. The extra discount is an extra 20% off but doesn't apply to all items. When this sale strikes, merchandise tends to go very quickly. The shoes and bags are always the first to fly off the site.
In the shoe department, there are lots of Gianvitto Rossi shoes discounted 50% and there's another 20% on top. These mules are $280 from nearly $700. These Vetements Manolos are 80% and even justafiable at $345.
Everything gets a little more interesting when you start shopping for clothing. There is still a large assortment of clothing and the variety is quite large. Here is a white poplin dress that's reduced to $300 from $1500. It's universally understood that the dress was way overpriced to begin. This Prada dress falls in the same category of overpricing but could be justifiable with these new discounts.
The NAP final sale usually lasts just a couple of weeks. Then the section completely disappears. TheOut is the next stop-- as it becomes past season fashion.
The biggest topic of conversation this week (and really, for the past two weeks) is when everyone is celebrating the 'holiday weekend'. Some hate a mid-week Federal holiday but we love the idea of defining our own celebration. If it's up to us, we'd celebrate July 4th all Summer long.
As far as shopping is concerned, the discounts are almost as high as the temperatures. There is some disparity between our favorite local department stores-- Bergdrofs, Saks, and Barneys. Below is a cheat sheet to get you through the Holiday week, weekend, month or season. Play it however you like!
July 4th is famous for explosive sales. Some even go as far as calling it 'Christmas in July.' Considering the recent third markdowns at department stores-- like Barneys, Bergdofs, and Saks-- it's more like New Year's in July.
Just remember, the holiday promotions don't end with the fireworks. Extended sales have become as much of a tradition as the underlying sale. The bonus day, final hours and last chances are as commonplace as an afterparty.
Below is a compilation of online promotions with additional discounts that are worth cha-cha-cha-ing:
Asos Promotion: Discounts of 70% off plus an extra 10% off using the code EXTRA

That the mid-town warehouse sale, featuring La Perla was very, very good but it's about to get extreme. Like all great affairs, this one must come to an end but not without a grand gesture. Starting Friday morning, all merchandise will be reduced to $40 and under!
Earlier this week, we went to check out the La Perla merchandise ourselves and cannot emphasize enough what a good sale this is. We spotted gorgeous silk patterned sarongs that are now going to be $20, there are caftans marked $200 that are just $30, there are $20 bikinis (top and bottom), sequined or mesh coverups are $30 (the retail prices are several hundred dollars), pajama sets and, of course, bras are $30 each or four for $100. Panties that were marked as high as $220 at retail area all just $18 a pair. There is also a super assortment of La Perla Studio merchandise that's reduced to 10 pairs for just $100 or $12 each.
You can see pictures of all the La Perla items we loved from the sale. Take note, this is a grab and go blowout sale. The fitting rooms will not be available and all sales are final. On the bright side, the sales help are super nice and helpful. The sale is also very well organized and orderly, which can be difficult with underpinnings.

You should head straight to Bergdorf Goodman if you're looking to shop truly amazing markdowns. Right now, designer clothing is discounted 75% off and most shoes and bags are reduced by 50%.
We decided to get ahead of the weekend rush and scope out what's treasures are still available. There aren't many handbags left over. We spotted a few Christian Louboutin castaways and a few Valentino styles that were still overpriced.
Moving on to the shoe department, there are still lots of great styles from which to choose. The discount is currently 50% off most shoes and boots. In stores, there are a scattering of Chanel and Louboutin shoes still left. The discount isn't as high on these brands. More reduced finds include Valentino T-Strap Rockstuds that are about $472 from $950, Isabel Marant thong pool slides are $212 from $425, and Paul Andrew sandals are $400 from $800.
This is the last markdown of the season. In mid-July, there will be an extra 20% off promotion but, at that point, it takes a lot of digging to find the treasures.
