Fall in Love: Cartier Diamond Trinity Ring

Few tales are as good as a sweet love story. This dream tale starts with a model. Not just any model but one the type of girl who is sweet, kind, caring and chic. Well, as expected Ms. Magnetic had no problem attracting suitors. Countless men showered her with valuable gifts: diamonds of all sizes, Rolex watches, Cartier jewels. The list goes on and on.

It wasn’t until Ms. Magnetic met Mr. Well-Known Artist that she felt it was time to settle down. There is one catch. Mr. Well-Known Artist requested that his fiancée-to-be put her relationships of the past behind her and shed her past love charms.

Ms. Magnetic is more than happy to oblige and is looking forward to starting a new chapter in her life. Now all those diamonds, watches and jewels can be yours at a fraction of their retail price from DivoriceYourJewels.com. Take this Cartier pave diamond Trinity ring. The retail price for this classic ring, size 6.5, is $18,000 but it can be yours for just $8,100.

    ShoeBox Friends and Family

The uptown, downtown, all-around-the-town shoe boutique, ShoeBox is offering customers a 20% savings on all shoes in the store. The sale started today and runs through the weekend.

We would suggest scouting out the Alexander McQueen and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, both of which are not usually included in department store friends and family promotions. Just be aware, sometimes the boutique will re-merchandise last season's styles and a 20% markdown on those isn't even enough.

    Chanel Cosmetics 10% Off

Lord & Taylor is not the usual suspect for scoring great deals on Chanel. You might want to rethink that generalization, especially when the store is hosting their friends and family discount. From April 16 to April 23, Lord & Taylor is offering customers 25% off most items in the store. Cosmetics and fragrances will be priced at 10% off.

So how does Chanel specifically work into this deal? Well, at a time when you might have a hard time scoring Chanel's hottest summer nail color at Bergdorf Goodman or Saks -- Lord & Taylor is fully stocked. The 10% discount is just icing on the cake.

Presale for the friends and family discount has already begun and we suggest you make a list of all your Chanel (and other cosmetic needs) before heading out. After all, the savings may even pay for your cab fare.

Kate & Jack Spade Friends and Family

We've never been one for jumping on the hot trend bandwagon and if you had suggested a Kate Spade anything in the 90's we would have rolled our eyes. However, Kate Spade in 2011, has a whole new definition. The company's bags, clothing and accessories are bright and carefree, while adding a bit of spring in your step and summer to your heart.

This week, the company is offering shoppers 25% off friends and family discount on all merchandise. Yes, that includes sale items too! We strongly encourage you to browse the brand's assortment of products and take advantage of a generous early season discount. We found an adorable sale bow cardigan for $150 from $245, a pop-arty straw tote for about $295 from $345 and a silk floral wrap dress for $295 from $395. (Doesn't it remind you a bit of an Oscar de la Renta dress?) On the men's side, you can never go wrong with the Jack Spade messenger bag in bright orange, which is $160 from $195.

The sale is only Friday and Saturday (April 8th and April 9th). Kate Spade online shoppers can use the code FFSPR11 to engage the discount. Jack Spade customers can use the online code JACK25 at checkout. We already feel more cheery with the combination of colors and savings. How about you?...

    OutNet’s 2nd Birthday

The OutNet is teasing customers about the announcement of its upcoming 2nd Anniversary. For the site's first birthday customers were showered with a wide assortment of merchandise costing just $1.

As expected the finds were awesome but designer merchandise priced at $1 expectedly attracted more demand than supply. Last year's sale lasted less than an hour before all the merchandise was gobbled up and the site crashed. Despite the disappointment, some lucky customers reported snagging items like $600 Brian Atwood sandals, a $4300 Chloe dress, a $3000 Christian Lacroix dress and $1400 Halston boots.

This year, the sale will take place on April 15 and the rules are a bit different. The OutNet will be giving out 2000 shopping passes, which will allow you to participate in the $2 sale. The rules and process are a bit lengthy but you can get all the nitty gritty details below.

To win a $2 sale ticket, you'll need to enter the draw between April 4th and April 12th.

Here's what you need to know:

    - Enter the $2 sale draw and every day 200 winners will be picked at random to win a ticket to the sale on April 15th.

    - You only need to enter once to be included in every daily draw.

    - There are more chances to win! Get your friends to enter and you could win a ticket – the top 200 sharers will automatically receive a ticket.

    - We're also giving away 20 prizes of $200 store credit and all those who enter the draw will receive free shipping....

    Scoop Friends & Family

Tired of the big department store sale restrictions? Well, fret no more. Scoop is offering friends and family 25% off all full price merchandise. The discount is in stores and online with the use of the code FRIENDS25. The sale started Saturday but continues through April 5.

Considering that Scoop did not outline any designer restrictions, we would suggestion going for the Missoni and Zac Posen mechandise. Actually, you really can't go wrong on any purchase considering the friends and family discounts at Bloomies and Saks are just 20%.

Now, if only Scoop would match department store return policies......

    Shop For Japan

    By: ManhattanMataHari

There’s nothing quite like the guilt-free experience of shopping for a good cause. While many designers and companies have donated directly to organizations that help disaster relief in Japan, others are encouraging donations though consumerism.

Several designers and companies are holding special sales or designing limited edition apparel and accessories to benefit Japan and their recovery from the natural (and radioactive) disasters that occurred earlier this month.

Here is a brief overview of how your shopping dollars can be put to good use. After all it’s a win-win, right?

All of the proceeds of the Fashion Girls for Japan benefit will be donated to the Japan Society’s Earthquake Relief Fund.

There is likely to be a high turnout for the event, so it may be a good idea to go to go online www.fashiongirlsforjapan.com to buy the $5 admission ticket early for faster admission. Sample sales host, is Clothingline is managing the actual event, so don’t be surprised if there is a mandatory bag and coat check.

    Hunting for Fur Bargains

Our roster of spies continues to grow with the addition of ManhattanMataHari. MMH, for short, is a full time graduate student. Moving to New York ignited her passion for fashion and living on a student's budget has taught her to get the hottest designer items for a discount. She counts persistence, online and in-store reconnaissance as her greatest tools, in addition to following Madison Avenue Spy daily!

The end of winter’s wrath and the onset of spring signals a favorite time of year for New Yorkers -– end of season sales. Warmer days are the perfect time to invest in that fur coat you have been pining overall winter long. In order to find the best discounts, we did a survey of local department stores and firmly believe that Bloomingdales (with the upcoming friends and family discount) is the best place to score a fur for a fraction of its November price.

Here is an overview of the discounts being offered on fur at all our local department stores:

At Bergdorf Goodman, exclusive furrier J. Mendel is having markdowns of 50% on regular minks, 40% off sheared mink, and 30% off other styles. A sales associate confirmed this is the final discount on the ultra luxurious designer and there will be no further markdowns.

Saks Fifth Avenue’s fur salon is having a department wide 30% off sale. The salon has a large selection of various styles in stock and no further discounts planned.

Macy’s furs currently range from 30% to 60% off. In addition, Macy’s cardholders can use a 15% to 20% off coupon that can be applied on top of the current markdowns.

If you really want to snag a great deal, then the Bloomingdale’s Maximilian fur salon is your destination. The fur salon is tempting customers with markdowns on many classic furs that range from 55% to 80%. Naturally, more unique designs tend to have the greatest markdowns. A sales associate confirmed these are the lowest markdowns and the salon will be participating in friends and family, which can save customers an additional 20% off clearance prices.

Bloomingdale's is already allowing customers to presale their purchases. Now is the time to start your search for the perfect new fur coat at department stores while both the selection and markdowns are at their best!...
