    Bulgari Cleans Out The Vault

    The poor economy is hitting every segment of the retail market, including jewelry. I have it on very good authority that Bulgari’s upcoming “private” sale is going to be tremendous. Our insider says, “The vaults are overcrowded.” So the goods are coming out at a huge discount, up to 75% off retail.

    The sale runs from Saturday, Nov. 22 until Tuesday, Nov. 25th and will include jewelry, watches, handbags, accessories and fragrance. The details are below but I am assured that this is a jewelry sale you won’t want to miss because like recessions– they don’t come around often. (Thank goodness for the last part.)

    Bloomingdales is hosting a friends and family event from Thursday, Nov.13 from Sunday Nov. 16th. You can presale items now. You don’t need a coupon, store credit card or any friends to get the 20% discount. Just mention that you’re in-the-know and your discount will be applied.

    The 20% might not sound so good but when staked on top of the current 30% promotion it brings the total savings up to 44% on many items. What’s even better is that there are no restrictions during friends and family so you can go crazy on cosmetics and …Chanel?!

    Clarification:
    The cosmetic departments are NOT taking part in the F&F, however many counters are giving away gifts. I know, cash is better than gifts!

    Roger Vivier Private Sale 40%

    Some girls love Manolos, others swoon over Laboutons,but I personally go weak over Roger Viviers. You could imagine my surprise when I got a late night email from a Madison Avenue Vivier sales associate disclosing a private sale. Here is an excerpt from Mike’s email:

    To try and drum up business, (and hopefully some new clients for myself), the Vivier boutique is having a 4 day private sale event that starts Thursday the 13th and ends on Sunday the 16th. After the 13th, everything goes back to full price, and you’ll have to wait until the 28th, (day ofter Thanksgiving) for the public sale.

    So for those of you that can make it in on Wednesday, please ask for me, Mike, to show you all the sale items and i can put aside all of the things that you DEFINITELY want.     Saks Increases Private Night Discount

    Stop the presses!

    Lackluster retail sales have caused Saks to up their Private Night event discount to 40% off. The promotion–which takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week– was slated to be a 30% discount but has been changed to entice more shoppers.
