    SSence Discounts Hit 70% Off

As we begin to near the end of the sale season cycle, size options will become a little thin and prices tick up and down from site to site. Our latest browsing session brought us SSense. Discounts on the Canadian site seem to near or exceed even the steepest local markdowns.

In addition to the steep discounts, there is also a really eclectic assortment that we haven’t seen state-side. On Instagram we saw the Heron Preston collab with Off-White but never saw the bag in person. Here is the bag and it’s now $530 from $945. There is also this utility-style belt for just $64 from $165. Another social media celeb item is this Vetements horoscope rain jacket that’s now $105 from $350. Over this way is a Champion hoodie that’s just $45. (Perfect for the “kids”.)

Beyond streetwear and Instagram royalty, there are also some great FASH-ion items. He is an Erdem floral print dress that’s $236 from $715, the Calvin Klein/ Brooke Shields tee is just $50 from $170 and these Miu Miu sneakers are $240 from $750.

You should take note that the most reduced items are final sale. At some point, Ssense does an extra 20% off. We just aren’t sure when it can be expected.

    ShopBop Discounts Exceed 75% Off

Shopbop is offering a deal that might be hard to refuse. Right now, a selection of spring and summer merchandise is already discounted 70% off but for two days you can save an extra 25%. Use the code EXTRA18 at checkout to engage the additional savings.

We were actually very surprised about how many great items we found. Check out this shift dress from Victoria Beckham that’s reduced to about $250 from $540. This Cushnie Et Ochs dress is gorgeous and already reduced 70% off. After the additional discount, the price is just $363 from over $1500. A Veronica Beard sequin top is $115 from $500 and Loeffier Randall wedge mules are $150 from $375.

Remember when Rodarte sweatshirts used to seem expensive? That was before Vetements and Off-White tried convincing us that a $900 sweatshirt is normal. Well, here is a classic Rodarte hoodie for about $100 from $345. Seems like a bargain, right?

As far as sales go, ShopBop’s selection seems to be pretty on point. There is a large assortment of price points and even sizes that are still available. Seems like a good opportunity to pick up something extra nice before your big August vacation.

Saks Fifth Avenue Extra 15% Off

Mondays can be a hard recovery from a Summer weekend but a little shopping could be a great pick-me-up. Truth is, the weekend is just four days away. Saks Fifth Avenue’s most recent discount promotion might be the perfect way to overcome the Monday blues. Right now, you can save an extra 15% off, which brings the total markdown on some items to nearly 75% off.

Some of the sale highlights include this Off-White floral print skirt that comes to about $200 from $800, a Palm Angles tee is $85 from $333 (very LA), this top from Sea is $70 from $265 and a Rosie Assoulin dress is under $800 from nearly $3000. Among the shoe options are these Balmain print heels that are $350 from nearly $1000. Balenciaga floral print knife sling-backs are $340 from $950 and Miu Miu slides are just over $300 from $850.

Take note, this sale is only online and all sales are final, which can be a shopping hazard. This promotion ends on Thursday.

VIP Access to Outnet’s Clearance Sale

Twice a year, The Outnet hosts a clearance sale where merchandise is discounted an extra 50% off the lowest price cut. The markdown on many items is nearly 90%. As you would imagine, the merchandise goes very fast. For this reason, we are so excited that we can provide a VIP link ahead of the sale going public.

You can use this VIP link to access The Outnet’s clearance sale now. To engage the extra markdown use the code FIRSTLOOK. The sale officially becomes public on July 11.

We found is this Tome dress with ruffles that comes to only $150 from over $1200. A lace dress from Belstaff is $170 from $1100. Here is a tunic that’s perfect for the beach and it’s $105 from $700 or this gauzy mini-dress from Dodo Bar Or is $100 from $345. Here’s a JW Anderson one shoulder dress is just now just $200, Anya Hindmarch boots are about $250 from nearly $1200 and a small teal Prada bag is $230 from $950.

Just remember, all sales are final. Can you really blame them? Prices like this totally justify a no backsies policy.

    Net-a-Porter’s Final Sale, Extra Discounts

After the fireworks die down we excitedly await for Net-a-Porter’s explosive final markdown. This end-of-season event usually only lasts a few weeks and is delivered with lots of extra discounts.

This season’s big event started today. The extra discount is an extra 20% off but doesn’t apply to all items. When this sale strikes, merchandise tends to go very quickly. The shoes and bags are always the first to fly off the site.

We have our eye on this Off-White tote that’s comes to just $400 from over $1200. This Alexander McQueen bag is about the same price and deeply discount Alaia is never a bad idea. During the Summer, we are all about cheap thrills and this straw garden bag from Eugenia Kim is only $230.

In the shoe department, there are lots of Gianvitto Rossi shoes discounted 50% and there’s another 20% on top. These mules are $280 from nearly $700. These Vetements Manolos are 80% and even justafiable at $345.

Everything gets a little more interesting when you start shopping for clothing. There is still a large assortment of clothing and the variety is quite large. Here is a white poplin dress that’s reduced to $300 from $1500. It’s universally understood that the dress was way overpriced to begin. This Prada dress falls in the same category of overpricing but could be justifiable with these new discounts.

The NAP final sale usually lasts just a couple of weeks. Then the section completely disappears. TheOut is the next stop– as it becomes past season fashion.

    Holiday Shopping Cheat Sheet

The biggest topic of conversation this week (and really, for the past two weeks) is when everyone is celebrating the ‘holiday weekend’. Some hate a mid-week Federal holiday but we love the idea of defining our own celebration. If it’s up to us, we’d celebrate July 4th all Summer long.

As far as shopping is concerned, the discounts are almost as high as the temperatures. There is some disparity between our favorite local department stores– Bergdrofs, Saks, and Barneys. Below is a cheat sheet to get you through the Holiday week, weekend, month or season. Play it however you like!

    July 4th Sale Mania Roundup

July 4th is famous for explosive sales. Some even go as far as calling it ‘Christmas in July.’ Considering the recent third markdowns at department stores– like Barneys, Bergdofs, and Saks— it’s more like New Year’s in July.

Just remember, the holiday promotions don’t end with the fireworks. Extended sales have become as much of a tradition as the underlying sale. The bonus day, final hours and last chances are as commonplace as an afterparty.

Last Days: Warehouse La Perla Blowout Sale

That the mid-town warehouse sale, featuring La Perla was very, very good but it’s about to get extreme.  Like all great affairs, this one must come to an end but not without a grand gesture. Starting Friday morning, all merchandise will be reduced to $40 and under!

Earlier this week, we went to check out the La Perla merchandise ourselves and cannot emphasize enough what a good sale this is. We spotted gorgeous silk patterned sarongs that are now going to be $20, there are caftans marked $200 that are just $30, there are $20 bikinis (top and bottom), sequined or mesh coverups are $30 (the retail prices are several hundred dollars), pajama sets and, of course, bras are $30 each or four for $100. Panties that were marked as high as $220 at retail area all just $18 a pair. There is also a super assortment of La Perla Studio merchandise that’s reduced to 10 pairs for just $100 or $12 each.

You can see pictures of all the La Perla items we loved from the sale. Take note, this is a grab and go blowout sale. The fitting rooms will not be available and all sales are final. On the bright side, the sales help are super nice and helpful. The sale is also very well organized and orderly, which can be difficult with underpinnings.
