    Net-A-Porter Discounts hit 80% Off

Net-a-Porter has started to aggressively discount its summer merchandise. This markdown is a month later than normal but you will currently find a critical mass of merchandise is now 80%. The best deals can be found among clothing, swimwear, shoes, lingerie, and jewelry.

Inside the 80% section, we found lots of swimsuits, which are perfect to help get through this heatwave. This Johanna Oritz one-piece $118 from $400, this Marios Schwab bikini is $94 from $495 and this one-piece from Heidi Klein is $60 from $300. Here’s a Dolce & Gabbana bikini top for $79 from $400.

Of course, there’s lots of clothing reduced by 80% too. This daytime sexy Balmain halter top is $190 from $950 and this Pater Petrov leather wrap dress is $430 from $2130 and can be worn straight through winter if styled correctly.

The 70% off options are priced nearly as well but the options even more plentiful. This Zimmerman polka-dot jumpsuit is $180 from $600, this red Philosophy dress is perfect for a hot night out at $240 from $800 and these Guiseppe Zanotti heels are $225 from $750. Don’t miss these Gucci aviator glasses for just $124 from $415 and these Saint Laurent glasses are $162 from $405.

There aren’t any bags reduced 80% but in the next couple of weeks, we should see even more merchandise added to more heavily discounted sections. This NAP sale is really a great time to scroll and add quality items to your wardrobe. It’s hard to ever justify fast fashion when there are so many affordable finds.

Introducing Steele Hotels: Discounted 3-Night Luxury Hotel Packages

Anticipating tomorrow is like looking through a frosted glass window. Despite the unclear vision, we all know there is a great and vast world just waiting to harvest experiences and memories.

It’s only a matter of time until travel will resume and we can begin to activate our innate desire to travel and explore. For those like me, waiting is not enough. It’s time to start planning. During the past few months, I have worked tirelessly with an amazing team of dreamers and believers to craft an incredible travel opportunity.

Steele Hotels is an innovative travel website that offers users a limited number of discounted three-night hotel packages at some of the most luxurious hotels worldwide. The best part is that all purchases are valid 12-months AFTER borders open and safe travel resumes. There are also very limited blackout periods, which enhances the deal even further.

Some of the great deals include my favorite hotels around the world. Take a look.
Three nights at Nizuc Resort & Spa, in Rivera Maya, in an Ocean View Deluxe room is available starting at $1188. That’s under $400 a night.

Casa de Campo Resort and Villas, in the Dominican Republic, costs just $486 for three nights in a Superior Casita. That’s just $162 a night. There is also the ability to add an all-inclusive option for just a little bit more money. The same goes for the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos, which just opened in October 2019. The all-inclusive three-night room package starts at $855, which is equivalent to $285 a night.

Steele Hotels also includes lots of great European hotel deals too. One of my personal favorites is Portrait Firenze, in Florence, Italy.  There’s also Capri Tiberio Palace in Capri, Italy, Estancia Vik Jose Ignacio, in Uruguay and the Saint Jame’s Hotel & Club Mayfair, in London.

Remember, there are a very limited number of Steele Hotels packages available at each hotel. “Restocking” is unknown but new hotel deals will be added regularly.

The revenue generated from the purchase of each Steele Hotels package is immediately turned over to each hotel to help support their properties during this very difficult time. In addition, a portion of all Steele Hotels sales will be donated to various charities that support job training in the hospitality industry.

Book the trip. Buy the shoes.  ????????

    Harvey Nichols UK Markdowns

Most US stores have already started their second round of markdowns but many European stores are still discounted even more. The famed UK department store, Harvey Nicholas has a great assortment of sale merchandise that shouldn’t be overlooked.

Most of the markdowns hover at about 50% to 60% off but the savings are even more once you account for currency savings. There are quite a few options from one of my favorite designed evening bags, Perrin Paris. This La Cabriollet clutch is $545 from $1100. These Valentino shoes sold out in moments after the Nordstrom second markdown but are still available in almost all sizes for $530 from $900. These Manolo Blahnik shoes with an ankle ribbon are $370 from $735.

The heavier discounts are always clothing. This floral print Dolce & Gabbana dress os $800 from $2200 US. An Off White tee is $86 from $375 US and comes in black too. The hoodie version is just $175. This VLTN Valentino sweatshirt is $300 from $700 US.

In addition to the great prices, Harvey Nichols covers duty and taxes. Shipping is free if you spend over $250, which is easier than any of us would like.

    Weekend Shopping: Impulses & Obsessions

This week, big fashion news circulated about Milan’s digital fashion shows. There were Gucci, Prada, and Dolce, and more.  If you didn’t catch them, you’re not alone. Without the experience of a physical event, most fashion fans missed the link– or so they say.

You can click here to view them all but it’s become glaringly clear that the digital environment is not an adequate substitute for the real thing. Bucking the trend, Jacquemus sculptured a wheatfield to accommodate 100 VIP socially distanced guests to view his runway show that spanned 600-meters  or nearly 2000 feet. The visuals were spectacular but the compromise of having a live show in this environment is questionable. You can click here and judge for yourself.

Now is a great time to comb through Farfetch. I spotted lots of Saint Laurent items 50% off and even more. These Casandra YSL sandals are $425 from $850, a kelly green Cassandra bag is $1275 from $2550 and Opyum pumps are $500 from $1000. Also, check out deep discounts on Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana and Balenciaga.

Most recently, Tessabit started a promotion where you can save an extra 20% off sale merchandise with the code 20EXTRAMADISON. You must use this private Tessabit link to access the sale. Markdowns already scale 70% and the extra discount brings the total savings to near 80% off on some items. Some standouts include Fendi sandals for $340 from $700 and this Balenciaga quilted bag for $480 from $995. The full post with more finds can be found here.

Nordstrom started its round of second markdowns on designer brands. These Saint Laurent heels are $330 from $825 and this Saint Laurent linen tote is $755 from $1900. Click here to read the full post.

The discounts at Italist have hit up to 70% off. Prada PVC tote that’s $715 from $1100 US and  Bottega Veneta Lido heels are $940 from $1250 US. More details are in the full blog post.

That brings us to the very good deals we spotted on the UK version of Net-A-Porter, which include a Tom Ford Tote for $945 from nearly $1900 and a Rocksanda top with ruffle sleeves for $270 from $900. More finds can be found in the post.

Coming up this week, we wouldn’t be surprised to see additional markdowns at Saks Fifth Avenue and Moda Operandi.

Stay tuned. Until next time… same time, same place?

Lake Como’s Tessabit Extra 20% Off Sale

How much would you love to be on holiday at Lake Como? The thought is thrilling but, this season, you’re unlikely to find yourself sipping an Aperol Spritz on the deck of Grand Hotel Tremezzo. The good thing, however, is that you can still shop amazing deals.

Lake Como’s premier designer boutique, Tessabit started a promotion where you can save an extra 20% off sale merchandise with the code 20EXTRAMADISON. You must use this private Tessabit link to access the sale. Markdowns already scale 70% and the extra discount brings the total savings to near 80% off on some items.

The best part is that Tessabit’s merchandise is coming from Italy and already at a discount when compared to our retail prices. There is also no city or state sales tax. The bag selection is very good. This Givenchy tote that’s now just $800 from nearly $1700, this Valentino bag comes to $1300 from $2675, a quilted Balenciaga camera bag is $485 from $995, and this Fendi crossbody is $1340 from $2800.

The shoe selection is pretty tempestuous too. These YSL Tribute sandals are $350 from $725, Givenchy sandals are $350 from $715, and Fendi wedges are $340 from $690. A few other items you shouldn’t miss: Givenchy sweatshirt ($430), Balmain blazer ($800), Fendi tee ($310), and this Balenciaga bomber jacket ($930). Oh, and yes, this Rick Owen’s dress is $240 from $735.

Be sure to check out the men’s selection too. It’s very good. Also, be sure to keep your eyes focused on European designers. That’s where you will find the best values.

    Nordstrom Big Designer 2nd Markdown

Nordstrom started a big designer markdown on Thursday. Valentino,
Givenchy and Burberry are reduced to 60% off. The price adjustment occurred just a few hours ago but so much merchandise is already sold out.

Some outstanding highlights include this Saint Laurent Kate bag is $980 from $2450,  a Valentino tote for $550 from $1375,  and this Givenchy Eden at $1076 from $2700. Sizes options among the most desirable shoes are already very thin. You can’t go wrong snagging these Valentino flats for $318 from $800. Saint Laurent Tribute sandals are $280 from $700 and Givenchy sneakers are$300 from $750.
Second markdowns are always our favorite. It’s the axis between a great selection and high value that’ always trigger the checkout-now impulse.

    Italist New Markdowns (Not Announced)

Italist quietly did another round of markdowns but the news hasn’t been formally announced. That means that you can shop the 70% discounts now before the word even gets out.

Some of the sale highlights include this Prada PVC tote that’s $715 from $1100 US, Bottega Veneta Lido heels are $940 from $1250 US, and Saint Laurent tribute slides are $380 from $600. If you aren’t opposed to buying items out of season there are some great Herno deals and Max Mara deals. Some items for the Fall 2020 season are even already reduced.

Although Italist has good sales it’s always our go-to for scoring not-on-sale-anywhere merchandise for less. For instance, this Celine canvas tote is $1480 from $1850 US retail. If you were considering the purchase at full price, the $400 savings feels like a gift. Here is a classic Fendi coat with fur pockets that’s $2000 less expensive than it would be in New York (or anywhere else in the US.) This Fendi Zuca print coat will afford you $800 in savings.

The sale should officially break later today. Let’s hope that the headstart provides the perfect find (in the right size.)

    Great Markdowns on Net-A-Porter UK

Traditionally, US sales begin several weeks before European retailers. Like everything else this season, the sale schedule is upside down. Net-A-Porter UK is a full markdown period ahead of us and can offer some really amazing savings for those who want to snag-it-now.

Over this way, we spotted a YSL Niki mini studded bag that comes to $1145 from $1850 US, and this Tom Ford tote is $852 from $1889 US. This Etro rainbow pleated top is a stunner for $282 from $1300 US. (It’s still full price on the US version of the site.) This Roxsanda top with fluted sleeves is $250 from $905 US. You can click here to browse the 70% off selection.

The shoe selection is very good too. We spotted these Roger Vivier crystal buckle stunners  $909 from nearly $2000 US and Balenciaga Knife slingbacks are $375 from $800 US. Here are clunky Prada birk-style sandals for $350 from $890 US.

Shipping is free to the US if the order is over $250. Most items don’t require duty. If you’re averse to International shopping, the US NAP site is about seven to ten days behind it’s UK sibling.
