How much fun is it to travel and shop? It’s one of the things I’m personally missing most this year. I can’t tell you how many times I have made my way through London and ignored the fact that the British pound isn’t equivalent to the US dollar. 

It makes it feel like everything is on sale. That is– until you get your credit card bill. But by then, you’re already home and it’s too late to do anything about it. With international shopping on my mind, I clicked over to the UK version of Net-A-Porter and was amazed by the deals even after the currency was exchanged to US dollars. 

Some of my most exciting finds were among the Gucci items. Be careful, not all items are less expensive and some pieces will cost you even more money. The key to finding good deals from abroad is to stay under the $800 price point, which is when duties kick in.  Another key point is that all shipping is free over $200 pounds or $257. 

In times like these, some tough-luxe might be in order. No matter how you stomp it, the thick-soled boot is one of the biggest standout trends of the season. The first steps towards this trend started in Fall 2019 with the advent of lug boots from The Row, Bottega Veneta, and Prada.
