Ssense Public Sale Goes Live
MatchesFashion announced the start of its seasonal sale today. The discount is slated up to 50% off. There isn’t a ton of new merchandise but there are a few items that are notable. Below are some of the sale highlights.
Last year at this time we were deep into sale season and retailers were already deep into their Memorial Day discounts. This year, shoppers will need to wait until the actual week of Memorial Day to take advantage of this season’s discounts.
If you’re looking for savings now, we suggest you look outside our borders. Ssense kicked off its private sale this week to its highest level of loyal customers. The discounts will continue to be available to more customers as the season progresses. Those who are eligible can sign in to their account. Most items are 20% to 40% off. You can click here to see some of the items available in the private sale. The sale will open to the public on Tuesday.
The Italian boutique, D’aniello started its seasonal markdown with discounts up to 40% off. These Fendi slides are $551 from $690 US and this Prada nylon studded messenger bag is $1300 from $1900.
I had a lot of luck shopping at TheDoubleF this season. The Italian online boutique has a sale section of older merchandise with discounts up to 60% off. Current season (SS21) items are 25% off with the code TDFCRAZYDAYS. A Bottega Veneta quilted Cassette bag comes to $2000 from $2990 and this larger style Triangle bag comes to about $2000 from $3200. (The one I have is not included in the code for some reason.)Take note, duties are not included in prices, and items over $800 might get taxed 9%.
The French LVMH- owned site, 24S started its private sale. The discounts are up to 40% off and include a very good assortment of designer merchandise including Fendi, Moreau, and Chloe. To access the discounts you will need to sign into your account or create a login. See all the best goodies here.

Sale season seems to be starting much later this year. It’s nearly mid-May and there is very little news to report. Better late than never. Contemporary Designers can be now snagged Bergdorf Goodman for up to 40% off. The sale includes Ulla Johnson, Sea, and Gianvitro Rossi shoes. There are lots of long flowy floral dresses to kick off the Summer season. Below are some of our favorite items from the markdown.

On a side note, Moreau Paris is one of the smaller french heritage luggage brands. Many of the items are handmade and are of similar quality to Goyard, Delvaux, and Moynat. It’s unusual to find these items discounted but many options are 40% off. Moreau’s reversible totes are the most iconic and this one is $2160 from $3100. It might be a good time to experiment with a different style tote or small leather good.
This week I read a staggering statistic: Nearly 1 in 3 new stores opening in the US this year is a Dollar General. Of the 3,597 store openings, about 45% are Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Family Dollar, according to the latest figures from Coresight Research.
There is no doubt that Dollar General won’t be opening any stores on Madison Avenue but in some ways, it’s a shame. Madison Avenue has a drought of stores that actually service the community. As storefronts remain vacant, it might be high time that landlords reimagine the current business structure and seek out tenants that are in accelerated growth mode. After all, so many New York real estate families started in retail. It might be high time they return to their roots.
Check out this INTERMIX Smocked Poplin Midi Dress ($348) that pairs amazingly well with this Cala Canvas Tote Bag ($455) and Ancient Greek Desmos Leather Slide Sandals ($250). This INTERMIX Slit Hem Maxi Skirt ($248) paired with a matching cropped short sleeve shirt ($178) is perfect for day or evening. I love the ensemble with this tri-color Marni Gusset Tote Bag ($990) and these Ancient Greek Crystal Leather Sandals ($280).
Whether you’re spending time in the country, beach, or city, INTERMIX has everything you need to bring sophistication and fun with you this season. We can’t wait to get started.
