Black Friday is for the amateurs. Real shoppers sharpen elbows for the day after Christmas. It’s usually the time of year where you can find a rather good selection of merchandise that’s highly discounted.

Many retailers are still adding waves of first markdowns, which means post-Christmas shopping might be better than usual. Over the course of the week, you’ll be able to find great opportunities to pounce. Below are some of our favorite post-Christmas shopping destinations. Saks started Christmas off with a gift everyone can enjoy in the form of extra markdowns. Discounts now top 75% off. There are no set rules or formulas in this sale. It just takes a keen eye and lots of sorting and searching. Closer to New Year, there will be an additional money-off promotion. You might want to hang on a little longer to make a big purchase that’s not at risk of selling out.

Cettire
If you’re looking for great deals on merchandise just coming into stores, we suggest you point your attention towards Cettire. The online marketplace, like Farfetch or Italist, pulls merchandise from retailers all over the world. You will often see prices under US retail. Starting today the site is offering an additional 15% off FW21 merchandise with the code BOXING15. The promotion is valid until Dec. 27.

MyTheresa
Right now you can save 10% off a selection of full-priced items. If you wait until tomorrow UK-time (late tonight US), you’ll find a lot of additional designers added to the sale section and extra savings. For now, you can do enough damage with the full-priced items that are priced under US retail. We have been watching these Fendi snow boots that are $1178 from $1290 US.

Net-A-Porter
The apres Christmas updates haven’t taken place yet but shoppers should keep an eye out for new designers added to the markdown and lots of extra discounts. This is an evolving story. Stay tuned for more details.

Nordstrom is sticking to its private sales this season. This week Prada was added to the sale section and today we woke up to find lots of Givenchy, Alaia, Stella McCartney and lots of extra designer finds.  Most of the markdowns are 40% off. Below are some of the standout sale items at Nordstrom.
