Neiman Marcus Early Access
I just got a “best customer, early access, designer sale” link from Neiman Marcus. The selection is great the reduction is not so great. I’m also not a big fan of online shopping but here you go: Neiman Marcus

I happened to stop through the Saks sale and figured I would continue on with my afternoon of shopping. Everyone knows the best way to get from Saks to Bergdorf’s it by taking a stroll through tourist alley, Fifth Avenue. On the way I stopped in to see some friends and this is what they had to say:
The Bottega sale (30% off) was a different story. They had some cute styles and lovely colors. Do you agree? Give Helen (212 940-4315) a call if anything strikes your eye.

Notably missing from the list are some of our favorite premium shops. To save you time I made some calls and here is the dirt:

Every girl needs a pick-me-up after a long day of shopping. On 69th street– just West of Madison– there is a jewel box of a chocolate store, Debauve & Gallais. This chocolatier has been around for over 200 years but didn’t open a store outside of France until 2004. These chocolates are truly excellent and represent an artisanal tradition that spans seven generations.
Their chocolates have an intense rich flavor that can satisfy any sweet tooth with just one bite. D&G (the chocolatier, not the Italian fashion company) offers chocolates that are simultaneously dark and bitter. You can even find chocolates made with 99% cocoa. The truffles are so rich that you don’t really know what hit you until it’s gone.
With its treasures priced at $134 a pound, Debauve & Gallais is a pure indulgence. A box of just four chocolates will set you back $16 but …Yum!
Michael Kors stores, the ones that carry his haute collection, already has their presale in progress. The entire Spring/Summer selection is 50% off. All styles of bags, shoes, and jewelry are also half-off. The only department not included in the sale is sunglasses. There’s still a lot of selection to choose from. Presale items can be taken home or shipped when the sale officially starts on Friday.
For weeks we’ve been hearing about the eco-friendly line of clothing Rogan Gregory designed for Target. Racked has been blogging about it for months and counting down the minutes for the Barney’s LA and NY launch. I’ve seen 1000 word reviews of the clothes, not that I’ve had the patience to read them.
Well, the aforementioned line is finally on the racks of your local Target and I have to say it’s quite impressive. There are several great basic pieces that can be dressed up or down. The cloths are versatile as can be. My favorite is this woven shirtdress ($39.99) that can be styled very Madison Avenue. First remove the belt and add something unique, like a Hermes Collier de Chien belt, match it with a neutral slide and a canvas tote. Perfection! That’s how we roll here on Madison…
XOXO
Lila
