    Saks EGC or Cash?

I don’t know about you but I kind of get excited when I hear about an upcoming Saks by-some-get-some or EGC (Electronic Gift Card) promotion. What can be better than getting a little gift after buying yourself a big gift? Well, cash!

Turns out that Nordstrom, the world’s most customer friendly store, is willing to price match Saks’ EGC promotion. That’s right, if Saks were to give you a $150 gift card for a $1,500 pruchase, Norstrom will just take $150 off your purchase. So what’s better a gift card or cash savings?

I don’t think you need an MBA to figure that one out.

    Anya Hindmarch for Target

It’s kind of ironic that Anya Hindmarch, British luxury handbag designer, dug her footprint in the US with her “I’m Not a Plastic Bag” bags that were produced by Whole Foods. Now she has teamed up with Target to create an affordable line of her famous purses and wallets.

The line launches at a bullseye near you starting Oct. 8th but you can go to anyahindmarch.com today, if you’re jonseing to be the first on Madison with your economy friendly Hinmarch. The bags run from $20 to $50 compared to her true collection where bags cost about $1,500.

That’s all and well but we’re really looking forward to the eco-friendly (the economy, not the environment) Sigerson Morrison shoes that are launching at Target the same day.

    Scoop Friends and Family

Fall is in the air and I know you’ve been browsing the stores and eyeing that perfect casual dress and that dressy-with-jeans-sweater. Well, you might just want to start picking up some key items before they get picked through.

If Scoop is your weak spot you will probably want to take spin over there this coming week because they are offering 25% off designer merchandise to friends and family. The promotion runs from Sunday, Sept. 28 until Sat. Oct. 4th. Below is the flyer with all the info.

Notice that none of the bridge lines are mentioned (ex: Marc for Marc Jacobs, Just Cavalli and See by Chloe). This is the four-figure price point merchandise. So, in the words of Ludacris: “If you ain’t got no money take your broke ass home!”
