Moda Operandi Up to 70% Off

Moda Operandi is hosting a summer sale where some of the most stylish designer items from the season are discounted 70%. M’O is still one of those insider laces to shop and is often the destination where we tend to find those pieces that are otherwise sold out.

Check out this Delpozo dress. It’s is on the edge of trend change–moving away from bodycon– and is $1140 from $3800. A Carven poplin dress with midriff cutouts is perhaps more wearable and affordable at $225 from $750 and these Harve Faircloth wide-legged white pants are absolutely perfect for $110 from $365.

There are really a lot of great pieces in the sale section. You can scroll through the photos above to see our favorites. The site says that these are the final reductions. We’ll keep an eye out on markdowns and hope another comes  our way before the site switches over to fall.

    Portero’s 36-Hour Sale

If you ever wanted the opportunity to shop a huge inventory of discounted Hermès, Chanel and Louis Vuitton then you won’t want to miss Portero.com’s Summer Sale event. During their 36-hour promotion, customers will save an additional 20% off over 200 featured handbags, jewelry, and accessories. The sale only runs from noon ET Sunday until midnight ET on June 30th.

This week, we were able to get a sneak peak of what’s to come. With the special 20% off, we found a small Chanel handbag for just over $1000, a men’s Rolex Datejust 2T with a champagne diamond dial and diamond bezel for under $4800, and a jewel encrusted Marchesa box clutch for approximately $1600.

We could go on and on pointing out great items to buy, but half the fun is browsing through their beautiful new website. Just keep in mind that the promotion ends once the clock strikes midnight on Monday. We suggest that you don’t hesitate, because this sale is expected to sell out fast. Intermix Discounts Hit 80% Off

The discounts at Intermix are climbing quickly. Right now, many clearance items are discounted 60% and most everything on sale is discounted an additional 30%. The only downside is that all reduced items are final sale.

We were searching the sale selection online and found this Markus Lupfer lips tee that comes to $41 from $150, this updated-skort is $50 from $225, a croc embossed Yigal Azrouel leather jacket comes to $600 from almost $2000 and Valentino camo flats com ego $460 from almost $1100.

The site also has a pretty good selection of sunglasses that are all about 50% off. It’s not a bad idea to put a $100 cap on sunnies, considering how they are the one of the most commonly lost items.

    The Best YSL Discount

While it seems as if every retailer deeply discounting fashion, we are still hard pressed to find better prices than Amuze’s Saint Laurent sale. Right now, the online discounter is selling some YSL’s most iconic shoes and bags for prices less that we can find anywhere else.

Tributes for $350, Tribtoos for $325 and really amazing boots for under $500. The sale also includes a variety of bags like the Muse in embossed croc, Belle De Jour clutches and Betty clutches. Click here to check it out.

The Saint Laurent sale ends July 10 and we suggest that you don’t procrastinate. Popular sizes are already beginning to sell out. Other great Amuze sales include, Gucci ready-to-wear and Valentino shoes.

    Gucci Adds to Online Sale

While it’s always a welcome sight to see spring merchandise in December, it’s disconcerting to watch the unveiling of fall 2014 before July. Spending full price on that merchandise is should just be downright illegal.

As Gucci boutiques have started to receive their pre-fall collection and we noticed that the online sale inventory has vastly grown. There is even great options for those who want to get a jump start on growing their cool weather wardrobes. (The horror.) Take this goose down jacket is $700 from $1390, this double-heart cashmere sweater is $450 from $900 and this heavy cotton knit embroidered sweater is $750 from $1500. In the shoe section there is even plenty of boots. These brown mid-heels are $630 from $1250 as are these suede high heel classic Gucci zipper boots.

Hey, maybe you have a summer ski trip to South America or are planning an expedition to the Arctic Circle? Either way, we still prefer an itty bitty bikini to heavy knits.

    Net-a-Porter’s 80% Off Deals

Net-a-Porter has started to aggressively discount its summer merchandise. A critical mass of merchandise is now 80%, which includes plenty of clothing, swimwear, shoes, lingerie and jewelry.

Inside the clothing section, we found lots of swimsuits, which may even get to you in time for July 4th weekend. This Shimmi wrap bikini is just $43 from $215, this Kenzo ruffle bikini is $50 from $250 and this onepiece Roksanda Ilincic is $125 from $625– and will hopefully offer (even me) enough butt coverage. Here’s a tiny-bottom Tomas Maier print bikini for $98 from $490. Among the beachwear is this Fendi silk kaftan for $267 from $890 and  black and white Missoni print pants for $200 from $670.

Of course, there’s lots of clothing reduced 80% too. This daytime sexy Roland Mourent for $585 from $3000 is sure to turn heads in the boardroom and this Richard Nicoll print top for $151 from $755 will pair grew with a toothpick skirt of dressy shorts. The Elle Macpherson bras and panties are quite stunning and an excellent deal at just $20 for a bra and $6 for matching panties.

Over in the accessories section, we spotted Oscar de la Renta earrings for $60 from $300 and this VickiSarge gold plated and wood necklace is $363 from $1800. The shoe 80% off shoe selection is a bit more limited but there is a pair of Oscar de la Renta slingbacks for $140 from $700 and Kenzo booties for $140 from $700.

There aren’t any bags reduced 80% but in the next couple of weeks we should see even more merchandise added to the 80% category. NAP usually ends its sale before July 4th but that’s when its sister site, TheOutnet, has it’s bi-annual blowout.

    30+ Pics From Bergdorf’s 2nd Markdown

Bergdorf Goodman just started their second markdown and almost everything from designers’ spring and summer collections are on sale. The discount is the same online but the selection isn’t nearly as good. We couldn’t resist coming home with some lavender bags and are quite sure you’ll feel the same after looking through all of our shopping pictures.

The discount is up to 60% off with most ready-to-wear clothing falling within the steepest markdowns. Chanel and Dior clothing is discounted 40%. All shoes are all 50% off– except for Chanel, which is discounted 30%. Most sale bags are marked 50% off. You can click on the jump below to see a full selection of pictures from our shopping trip.

On the main floor, in the 57th Street ‘hall of bags,’ we found lots of classic black Saint Laurent duffles in an assortment of sizes. The large size comes to about $1000 from over $1900. In the center of there room there is a table full of Alexander McQueen mini-skull clutches and a few Victoria Beckham bags.

Upstairs, in the 2nd floor shoe department it seems as if there are more shoes on sale than ever. As always, the sale selection is organized by size. All styles– including Christian Louboutins– are a straight 50% off the original price. Some of the most plentiful sale styles are the colorful Louboutin animal print sneakers and the PVC Manolo Blahnik cap-toe pump in a variety of colors. There are also a lot of Prada, Jimmy Choo and Saint Laurent shoes among the sale racks.

Chanel shoes are still segregated from the other brands. Among the markdown merchandise is a huge variety of classic pumps, ballet flats, sneakers, sandals and even boots. Again, all the Chanel shoes are 30% off. You can see all the styles included in the markdown here.

Upstairs, about half of the third floor is dedicated to sale merchandise. The sale merchandise is organized by designer. Most everything is reduced 60%. We found a large assortment of Lanvin, Prada, Carolina Herrara, Marni and Valeinto. The selections of Thakoon, Saint Laurent and McQueen are much more limited.

Last year, the third markdown started on July 9 and the discount ran up to 75% off. There is no reason not to expect a similar pattern this year.
