    Farfetch Discounts Top 75% Off

Farfetch is known for bringing the world’s most popular fashion boutiques, local and emerging designers and brands to a single website. It almost makes us sad that we can shop our favorite Italian boutiques right here in New York. Some might say it takes away the adventure but it’s realistic to think that anyone can hop on a plane several times a year.

One of the other great things about Farfetch is that it makes markdowns available globally. Right now, the site is offering discounts of up to 75% off. We are told this is the last week to take advantage of these steep discounts.

    Here’s a Thomas Wylde top that’s that’s 75% off and comes to $172 from $685. Then there is this Delpozo dress that’s $525 from $1750. Here’s a Givenchy Rick Owens shirt dress that’s $260 from $865.

Shoes and bags are on the pricey side and could be found for less in many other destinations. Another thing that we’ve noticed is that many American brands are more expensive when sold from foreign stores. We suppose that’s what happens when you pay duty twice. Speaking of which, all prices include duty and returns are free for 14 days after your purchase is received.

Moda Operandi Final Markdown & Extra Discounts

Moda Operandi is ready to close out the last of its Summer inventory. Starting Wednesday, the online fashion boutique will begin it’s final clearance sale and offer an extra 30% off. Use the code EXTRA30OFF to engage the extra savings.

When all the math is said and done, you can find many pieces discounted nearly 90% off the original price. Some of the highlights include, these adorable espadrilles that come to just $70, a Lenny Niemeyer strapless one-piece swimsuit is also just $70 and an embroidered skirt from Alexis is about $170. Some of the more extravagant items include, this Naeem Khan dress that’s $700 from $3000, a Dice Kayek jeweled dress is $625 from $2625 and a Marni flower print maxi-dress $600 from $2900.

The four day sale will run through Saturday and then the sale merchandise will be removed from the site. We can assure you this is M’O’s rock bottom markdown. It’s not going to get any better than this. Fashion week is less than a month away and the site will begin to promote off-the-runway trunk shows.

Moo-nolo Charity Sample Sale is Back

What could possible be better than a Manolo Blahnik sample sale? A bucolic summer weekend road trip that includes Manolo heels (and flats) at sample sale prices.

Arethusa Farm Dairy, which is located in Bantam, CT, will be hosting a sample sale where the famous heels (and flats) will be priced starting at $150. According to our inside sources, the selection will include a full range of sizes and a variety of styles among summer and winter collections.

The famous dairy is owned by George Malkemus and Anthony Yurgaitis–the couple who own Manolo Blahnik USA. Unfortunately, the farm’s famous high quality milk and cheese will not be available at the sale but those details are subject to change.

The sale will physically take place at the Bantam Fire House and the sales will benefit Arethusa Farm Scholarship Fund for University of Connecticut Agricultural Studies. Bantam is located in Litchfield, Connecticut, which is about 2.5 hours from Manhattan. That means this sale-ing will require a bit of a road trip. If leaving ‘the Island’ is out of the question, there are a few suggestions for heavily discounted Manolos in the above scroll. (This pair is even signed!)

    Real Couture Finds at Wearhouse

The term couture may be more overused than the word literally. It ‘literally’ makes me cringe. There is nothing at H&M or Juicy Couture that resembles anything couture. Haute couture is truly the art of fashion. Every aspect of the garment is created by hand. Many of these garments are commissioned directly with the fashion house and cost upwards of $100,000.

For this reason, we were truly shocked to stumble upon Valentino couture tucked away in the tiny suburb of Long Island. Wearhouse is a massive retail space that is essentially an designer outlet with all the furnishings of a high-end boutique. There are helpful sales people and even a tailor on premises.

Starting Sunday, Wearhouse is hosting an end-of-season clearance sale where Valentino couture will be discounted 80% off. The multi-brand luxury discount store also includes a variety of other gorgeous items from Missoni, Chloe, Marchesa and Naeem Khan that will be reduced 70% from retail. Accessories, bags and shoes from Anya Hindmarch, Stuart Weitzman and Piazza Sempione will also be discounted 70%.

If you’re driving back to there city from the Hamptons, this is the perfect pit stop. Couture can make you forget even the worst traffic.

The IT-It: August Vacation Packing List

There is nothing we don’t love about Summer. Even 100-degree weather can’t get us down. (Not that hot weather has been too much of a problem this season.) Our favorite part of Summer is Agusut vacations. Before checking out it’s always nice to pick up some fun pieces of fashion regardless of where you plan to unwind.

From basking in the infinity pool of Hotel du Cap, dancing on tables in Mykonos or just slipping into flip-flops for long beach days, Nordstrom has some great pieces to make the end of the season a bit more fun. We absolutely love these limited edition ‘Happy’ earrings from Ashley Williams ($158), denim shorts from Vejas ($475) are much more than you’re average jean shorts and these Jacquemus slides ($355) are easy but anything absolutely not basic.

Not everything you pack needs to be haute. Here is a ruffle shift dress ($89) that is perfect to throw on to eat brackfast, after the beach or for a walk into town. Here is a white gauzy maxi dress ($55) that will look go perfectly when paired against Mediterranean blue waters and you can never go wrong with an itty-bitty bikini????  ($36).

Nordstrom is always the perfect destination to shop trends and everything you need for Summer. The store has all the most cutting edge designer pieces and inexpensive options too. The best part is Nordstrom’s first-rate customer service, which includes free shipping both ways.

The It-It: The Return of the Pointy Toe

It never fails. As soon as I throw my arms up and give an item away it comes back into style with a vengeance. Only last season, I sold a haul of pointy toe shoes. There were jeweled Prada kitten heels, eccentric Maud Frizon printed heels and old Giuseppe Zanotti sky-high heels. All had exaggerated pointy toes that I thought were unwearable.

In a matter of months, pointy toe heels are back with a vengeance. Some of our favorites include Balenciaga’s pointed slides, Celine’s pointed toe pumps, Prada’s satin kitten heels with faux pearls and Gucci’s cherry heels. These Stella McCartney checkered pumps are even on sale and are quite the steal for just $300 from nearly $1200.

It’s hard to choose which pair to choose for Fall. It even hurts more to know that I had so many unique styles sitting in my closet for so many years. Too bad that there isn’t a closet that expands over time so that we can keep everything we have ever loved.

Neiman Marcus Discounts Hit 90% Off

Neiman Marcus clearly wants to eliminate all traces of Summer and is clearing out the last of seasonal merchandise with a big extra discount. Right now you can save an extra 35% off if you buy three or more sale items. We all know that means, you might have to buy a few extra items but it will  pay off big.

When all the math is said and done, you can find many pieces discounted nearly 90% off the original price. Here is a Tom Ford velvet dress that was initially priced at $6450. Once all the discounts are applied the dress will cost only $855. Here is a Victoria Beckham bustier that’s just $232 from $1430, Dior sunglasses are $190 from $450, Valentino loafers are $285 from $1100 and Jimmy Choo printed mule heels are $200 from about $800.

To get the 35% off discount you must by three items. We suggest sorting from low prices to high, if you don’t know what to add to your cart to hit the minimum. It’s always nice to have a few new pairs of underwear or pajamas. Who can’t use a new pair of jeans?

This sale runs trough Wednesday. We can assure you this is Neiman Marcus’s rock bottom markdown. It’s not going to get any better than this. The next promotions are all gift card events until Fall merchandise goes on sale.
