Shop375 Bottega Veneta Sale Up to 80% Off

Our favorite discount store, Shop375 is hosting a sale where all Bottega Veneta merchandise is discounted up to 80% off. To make the deal even better you can use the code MADSPY10 to save an additional 10% off.

After the code is applied, a gorgeous variety of woven belts in assorted colors are $81 from $420. We really love this violet and this royal blue. The sale also includes a great selection of classic Bottega bags. The small Pouch 20 comes about $1000 from $1390 and the classic size is $1966 from $2700. The new style, Jodie hobo with a knot is really quite beautiful in this grey suede and is less expensive here than we’ve seen it.

The code is valid until April 5. Inventory is limited and won’t be restocked.

    Tessabit: 30% Off Designer Merchandise

Many stores are currently running friends and family sale but almost none of these promotions include designer labels. The Italian boutique, Tessabit is hosting a 30% off sale that is only open to Mad-Spy readers through this link with the code: MADISONAVENUE30MS.

Some of the sale highlights include a Saint Laurent black logo belt for $370 from $525 and a Givenchy leather shopper is $833 from $1190, Coperni swipe bag is $330 from $443 and Givenchy slippers are $380 from $550.

The best part of the Tessabit promotion is that the merchandise is coming from Italy and many of the items retail for less money when compared to our retail prices. Did we mention duty is included and there is no sales tax either? It’s a triple score. The code is valid until April 12.

At Home Sales: Kitchen & Organizing

Staying home has us increasingly evaluated our immediate surroundings and less pressed about our fashion wardrobe. With Easter and Passover quickly approaching there is no doubt we will be spending even more time in the kitchen. (It’s hard to believe that’s even possible.)

Good thing there are some good active home sales. The Bloomingdales friends and family sale affords shoppers an additional 25% off a large assortment. The discount really becomes interesting when it’s applied to items already on sale. A Zwilling J.A. Henckels 7-piece knife block comes to $225 from $650 and an All-Clad 10-piece baking set is $150 from $390.

The Container Store is also offering up to 25% off closet and pantry items. Take note, not all organizational items are necessarily space-saving.  Some of our favorite and useful items include acrylic shelf risers are $13 from $17, cereal containers are $16 from $20, and wire bins are $8 from $10.

Bloomingdales friends and family sale runs until April 12. The Container Store store promotion will continue through April 5.

    Weekend Shopping: Impulses & Obsessions

It’s amazing how much you can do (and how little you can do) when there is no place to go and nobody to see. This long period of “sheltering” had me looking into my closet of gowns. Each one represents a memory from an incredible evening.

With much time on my hands, I slipped on this almost-vintage Matthew Williamson empire-waist dress. In the early 2010s, he was my favorite designer. I stalked his Meatpacking District boutique and took home this find during the presale at 80% off.  I wore it five months later to an AMFAR gala, in LA, and then a few years later to Lifeball, in Vienna. My philosophy with gowns is pretty similar to my take on fashion: Buy things you love and wear them as much as you can.

This week brought us several high-quality sales with items that are loveable and wearable. Moda Operandi is offering 25% off with the code 25OFF.  Despite what the site says, not everything on the site is included. You can use this link to filter out anything that doesn’t come with a discount. I really like these linen Ganni slides that come to $213 from $285,  a Jacqumous Le Chiquito bag is $422 from $585, and these “relaxed leather lounge pants” are $525 from $700.

Bloomingdales is hosting friends and family sale where the discount is 20% off. No designer merchandise is included. A Nespresso machine with a frother comes to just $150 from $475 and an All-Clad bakeware set is $160 from $400. There are lots of great kitchen items to make spending more time at home a little more exciting and to prepare for the Spring holidays. Friends and Family discounts are live through April 12.

Over at Saks, nearly all designers and nearly-designer brands are excluded from the 25% off friends and family discount. I suggest you scroll through the generous loungewear assortment. I’m into these black tie-dye sweatpants from Myrrh that come to $138 from $185 and an Isabel Marant sweatshirt is $198 from $330. The promotion runs through April 4.

Ssense is offering shoppers 20% off nearly everything on the site with the code SHOP20. These Louboutin heels come to $640 from $800 and this Saint Laurent toy size Loulou is $952 from $1190. The promotion ends Sunday. You can read all the sale details in our prior post here.

Italist has dropped prices on a multitude of items.  These Golden Goose sneakers are women’s sizes and are just $250.  A Balmain white blazer is $1377 from $2300 US retail and a Balmain hoodie is $331 from $660.

Shop375 loaded a lot of discounted Gucci items this week and you can use the code MADSPY10 to save an additional 10% off everything on the site.  A classic double-G Gucci belt is $256 from $350 and thong sandals are $315 from $500. Don’t miss the Bottega Veneta items that are newly loaded.. Assorted color woven bracelets are $80 from $420.

Long Island famed Steven Dann is offering discounts of 30% off nearly everything on its website, including sale merchandise that’s already 75% off. Use the code “influencer30” to engage the discount. These  Jimmy Choo pumps are only $150 from $850 and a Jonathan Simkhi shirt dress is $86 from $500. The sale section is definitely worth a look.

So here’s another to another week at home. Make yourself a double and enjoy the scroll and be sure to let me know if there is anything I missed.

LN-CC 25% Off: Bottega Veneta, Prada and YSL

LN-CC, which is based in Florence, Italy, has started a sale where major designer merchandise is discounted 25% off. The code LN-SPRING25 to engage the savings.

Everything on the site is included except merchandise accompanied by a star, which is primarily Gucci and Moncler. We suggest focusing your search on hot items from brands like Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, and Prada.

Some highlights include this butter color Bottega cassette bag that comes to $1425 from $1900,  a classic powder blue Pouch is $2025 from $2700 and chunky sandals are $950 from $1270. We spotted this Saint Laurent Mono bag that’s only about $760 from $1050, a monogram clutch is $375 from $500, and classic Nu Pieds slides are $450 from $700.

The Prada selection is especially good. This log plaque headband $195 from $260,  Prada loafers are $727 from $970, and our favorite sneaker of the season is $517 from $690. Check out this fish net bag that’s very trendy for this season and it’s $720 from $990.

The selection for men is just as good. Browsing the site is really like taking a walk through a wonderfully curated European boutique. Don’t forget to say thank you (or damn you) once you’re as hooked as we are.

    Net-A-Porter UK Provides Shopper-tunities

Please note: We just received the following message from Net-A-Porter.

Due to the current global situation, NET-A-PORTER is temporarily unable to fulfill orders shipping within/to the United States. During this interim period, customers in the US are not able to browse or shop the site. The option to ship to the US while shopping NET-A-PORTER international sites has also been removed.

As a result, NET-A-PORTER has to pause all US activity effective immediately. The most recent solution to shift activity to the UK is currently not an option.

Earlier this week we were sent a press alert about Net-A-Porter closing it’s New Jersey warehouse. We were told that all shoppers will be automatically directed to the UK version of the site and purchases will be shipped for free from the UK.

We often suggest shopping from the European version of NAP when there is a benefit of currency or a better promotion. The news alert had us looking a little deeper, this week, and we came upon some very interesting values.

We found these Bottega Venta leather mules that were sold out on the US site. Once exchanged to dollars, they come to $600 from the US retail of $790.  The small Bottega pouch exchanges to $1200 from $1390.

If you’re looking for something more discounted we are happy to report that the Euro sale section is still very much alive. These Nicholas Kirkwood strappy slingbacks will cost just $172,  metallic Saint Laurent kiki pumps $260 from nearly $800 and Chloe leather slides are $280 from $630.

The sandal section and summer options happen to be excellent. The prices of some items are low enough that there won’t be too much pandemic shopping guilt. Let’s hope we get to wear it all soon in health and joy.

Sephora: Self-Care in a Time of Isolation

    Sponsored by Sephora and ShopStyle

Now, more than ever, I feel the need to extract myself from the household tumult and spend a few minutes on my own. The bathroom has become my personal oasis and a steady delivery from Sephora is a modern indulgence.

I have started to accumulate an arsenal of beauty and self-care items that I enjoy applying and experimenting with when I find a few minutes of alone time. The experience begins with lighting a candle and dimming the lights. In the evening, I like to take a warm shower and afterward blowdry my hair with my new Dyson hairdryer ($399) or manipulate curls with the Dyson Airwrap( $549). The process is surprisingly cathartic.

While in captivity, um, self-isolation, I’ve discovered Huda Beauty Nude Obsessions Eyeshadow palette ($29). I love the color assortment, which translates into natural undone beauty but also offers a bit of sparkle.

Anyone who knows me well is primed in my penchant for buying lipsticks. Lipsticks are one of my favorite small indulgencies. I am always attracted to unique packaging, such as Pat McGrath’sMatte Trance lipstick ($38). My favorite color is Realness, which is a matte nude that has the perfect amount of blush to brighten your face without being blindingly bright or offensive. I use it on a daily basis as a “morning lipstick.” Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk ($34) delivers a similar result.

I recently placed a new Sephora order and am looking forward to trying Armani’s Luminous Silk Concealer ($38) because the Armani foundation ($68) is my all-time favorite. I also ordered Peace Out peel pads ($24), which is a brightening peel containing AHA, BHA that dissolves dead skin cells.

Above are some of my new favorites and old classics beauty products. I would love to hear how you’re finding time for self-care and what products you’re using to indulge yourself.

Use code FREESHIP now for a limited time to get free shipping in the US and CA with no minimum purchase required. Make sure to sign up for Sephora’s Beauty Insider program to score points with every purchase.

    Weekend Shopping: Impulses & Obsessions

I’m frequently asked about my favorite fashion find. Even with all my shopping, the story hasn’t changed in 20-years. My favorite find will always be my Christian Dior wedding gown because it’s a love story with a fairytale-like happy ending.

I was shopping at Kleinfeld, in Brooklyn and hated almost every gown I was shown. I didn’t want sparkles. I didn’t want puffs of tulle and I certainly didn’t want sequins. After viewing several dresses, I went on the hunt myself. I immediately spotted the most perfect and elegant Christian Dior gown. It was the only dress I tried on that day but it was $1,800, which was a lot 20 years ago.

I put the dress completely out of my mind and avoided dress shopping. A few months later, I casually walked into a small bridal salon in Belmar, NJ. There it was on the sale rack. The store was discontinuing the Christian Dior line and I bought my dream for $350. I think that it’s very telling that I love this gown as much as I did the day I first saw it.

As a social isolation activity, on Friday, I decided to give the old gown a twirl. We snapped a few pictures and danced a few TikToks, which all were inadvertently deleted. It was fun to get dressed up after so many days not wearing anything more formal than a tee-shirt and jeans.

For a Saturday night activity, I’m kicking it up with a glass of wine and breaking down some of the best promotions. It was, for sure, a busy week. Most notably, Nordstrom started a promotion where nearly all merchandise is 25% off. Designer items are excluded but there is still a lot from which to choose.

If you haven’t given the site a browse I suggest you do so right away as the discounts will end at 3am EST Sunday. I snagged a few Aviator Nation pieces because I rarely find them discounted. These Goodlife tees, for men, are also really nice. Here are also some really cute Comme Des Garcon pieces for men, women, and kids that are included in the sale.

Ssense is also hosting a sitewide sale. The code SHOP20 will afford you 20% off nearly everything on the site. The main exclusions are Gucci and Golden Goose. An aqua Bottega Pouch comes to about $1900 from $2700 US retail and a Saint Laurent medium Envelops bag is $1750 from $2190.

Bergdorf Goodman is offering an extra 25% off sale items and some new collections. are 15% to 25% off.  Croc-embossed Aquazzura heels are $225 from $750 and La Mer and Dr. Strum creams are 25% off– along with lots of other beauty products. Neiman Marcus is offering 25% off too but beauty was removed from the promotion.

It’s not often you stumble upon a Bonboint sale but the Webster is discounting the fancy French kid’s brand 60% off. That’s the same savings as the sample sale. It was worth a mention.

We’ll continue to update the post as the weekend continues and sales break. Feel free to drop a question or comment below. I am also always available by email: lila@madisonavespy.wpengine.com. Be strong, be safe, stay home! Xx
