    Intermix Sale: 65% Off

Shoppers seem to have very strong feelings towards Intermix. Most people reminisce about the “Old Intermix” and recall a time where you can find lots of affordable new designer merchandise. Other customers claim total loyalty for its ability to wardrobe the entire East End of Long Island.

Personally, we like Intermix for its great sales. Where else could you score a Canada Goose Down jacket for 40% off on Black Friday? Most of our denim collection is curated from the Intermix sale section, along with a few key Balmain and Brandon Maxwell pieces– of course.

Right now, Intermix is hosting one of those special sale moments where you can save an additional 40% off reduced merchandise. Most of the discounts come to 65% off but some are even higher.  A Rag & Bone denim skirt for $50 from $300 is basically a no-brainer. Here is a Ronny Kobo dress for $190 from $460 and this Love Shack Fancy frock is $150 from $425.

Some of the more designer-y options are this asymmetrical David Koma dress that’s about $550 from $1250,  Jean-Michel Cazabat suede high boots are $360 from $995,  and a Missoni knit duster is about $400 from $1600. Don’t miss the Lizzie Fortunato earrings that are reduced to $60 from $275. (We clearly have a Lizzie addiction.)

The sale contains a mix of the current season and holdovers from the Winter. If something is priced well enough, like those suede boots, we suggest you buy them now and open them in November as a Fall treat. This extra 40% off promotion runs through Friday.

Bergdorf Goodman First Markdown – Contemporary

For the fast few months, we have been tracking lots of reward shopping incentives, sale-on-sale discounts and friends and family promotions. Sale season is about to get real serious as stores begin their markdowns on contemporary designer merchandise. Bergdorf Goodman just started its newest markdowns, which translates to the first markdown on contemporary labels.

The sale isn’t officially live until Thursday but here is the early access link. The discount is 30% to 40% off on most merchandise. Over this way, we found Veronica Beard high-rise jeans for $150 from $300, a Current Elliot denim jumpsuit is $220 from $370 and, a Tibi white belted dress is $446 from $600.

We looked through the shoes and handbags but didn’t see anything outstanding. On the “bright side” there are lots of sunglasses markdowns. These Dior quilted glasses are $280 from $400 and Fendi Iridia sunglasses are $330 from $470.

This is still the very early stages of sale season. We would expect that more merchandise will be added to the sale section over the next week and the real first break will come on May 7. For now, you can price check Neiman Marcus, which also just started early access its First Call sale.

    ShopBop’s First Official Markdown

Online retailers don’t quite run sale season the same way traditional store calendars negotiate markdowns. Shopbop for example just started its first full markdown on Summer clothing, shoes and accessories. Meanwhile, most retailers won’t start markdowns for at least a few more days.

The discount seems to run from 30% to 40% off retail. Golden Goose sneakers are $371 from $530, an Alice & Olivia cardigan is $245 from $350 and a candy pink sweater from Velvet is $110 from $158. Heading to the designer options, we found a Paco Rabanne mini shoulder bag for $534 from $890, Lizzie Fortunato earrings are $250 from $415, and a Petersyn print button down is $180 from $256.

Of course, there are items even reduced more from prior seasons. A R13 leather pants are $400 from $3300, a Cushnie one shoulder dress is $550 from $1500 and an Adam Lippes blouse is $207 from $690.

If the item you’re watching isn’t included in this markdown it is likely to be added in the next sale drop. Usually, the site adds batches of merchandise every few weeks.

Neiman Marcus Discounts Reach to 85% Off

Over the past few weeks, Bergdorf Goodman has been adding lots of designer merchandise to its clearance category. The discounts top 75% to 80% off and the store will be starting a promotion where sale merchandise is marked an additional 30% off.

Upon browsing, we found an Olivier Theyskens dress already reduced 80% off and with the extra markdown it comes to just $470 from $3360, a Loewe bird print top will be $64 from $400 and a Missoni knit pink dress will be $350 from $2000. The discount among the shoes isn’t quite as high and sizes are scarce but it still makes sense to cherry pick. Chloe classic scalloped low-block heels will be $190 from about $575 and Balenciaga knife shoes with a daisy print will be $332 from $950.

The Bergdorf Goodman promotion is scheduled to start Monday but will likely begin Sunday evening. The promotion will run through Wednesday. If you don’t find anything in the sale section, you can start browsing contemporary designers section, which will go on sale later this week.

    Breaking: Bloomingdales Private Gucci Sale

We just received word that Bloomingdales is hosting a private presale of Gucci shoes. Shoppers will receive $25 off every $100 spent. It’s not a gift card, it’s actually money off your final tab, which we always love. The best part is that the entire Gucci shoe collection included in the promotion.

We’ve been lusting after the Gucci floral print Princetown slides that will come to $640 from $790 after the promotion. We’ve been also deliberating over the Princetown loafer in navy or the Brixton in Bordeaux. More seasonal styles that could be a consideration include the stripped pool slide that’s $235 from $310, espadrille wedge sandals are $465 from $590 and GG Supreme sneakers are $455 from $580. We have some pictures from inside the store right here.

Keep in mind, this is only the presale. The promotion will hit online on April 23. We suggest you head to the store now or add things to your cart and periodically refresh.
