    Lisa Perry Kid's Dresses $40

Few things are cuter than a mini-me, especially when it’s your own. We couldn’t have enjoyed pairing up with the little ones as much as we did with Lisa Perry’s mod a-line dresses. Unfortunately, the kid’s collection is being discontinued, according to company insiders.

On a positive note, the Madison Avenue boutique is selling all the remaining kid’s dresses and sweaters for $40 each. There is still a very nice selection of styles, including an iconic Love dress and another version with floral patches. Most of what’s left is from the Spring 2015 collection. We suggest you scoop up all that you can because once they are gone, there will be no more.

Lippes x Target Launches to Little Fanfare

Following the blockbuster Lilly Pulitzer collaboration at Target, we were very curious how Adam Lippes would be received. The New York-based designer is well known throughout the fashion world but his name recognition outside of the industry is probably a lot more spotty.

The Target capsule collection launched in stores and online today. The designer collaboration is comprised of about 50 items for men and women. Almost all the bags, tops, shoes, blankets and housewares almost all feature traditional buffalo plaid prints in a variety of colors. We are told that Lippes was “inspired by his Berkshires home.”

To gauge the response to the collection we hit the Harlem Target. In the early afternoon it appeared as if much of the collection was still available. Some sizes of clothing were sold out but the racks still had plenty of merchandise. Items like the plaid bucket bag and ‘Painterly Plaid’ tops were gone. There are still a good selection of shoes and most housewares are still available.

If you go online, almost all of the collaboration items are still available. The only sell out item– as far as we can see– is the plaid bucket bag. The heavy wool puffer vest is only available in an XL online and is sold out in Harlem.

There is still hope if you can’t find an item online or in a New York store. The Target in Bergen County, NJ  is closed on Sundays, so they will open tomorrow morning completely stocked. If that doesn’t work– or is too complicated– we suggest waiting it out to see if the item you want gets returned. We also have a feeling that there will be lots of markdowns in the near future.

Save the Date: David Yurman Sample Sale

We hope you’ve been stashing cash because the David Yurman sample sale is set to start Thursday, October 15. Discounts normally range from 30% to 60% off retail and 10% of all proceeds on the first day of the sale will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

During the last sale we were pleased with the small amount of classic Yurman. Most jewelry was discounted 40% and sunglasses were priced at 60% off retail. Prices started at $150 for silver and leather bracelets. Most of the iconic cable pieces were discontinued just 30% off. The watch selection was quite limited, but all timepieces were 50% off retail.

There aren’t additional markdowns taken throughout the sale, so were suggest going early to get the best selection. The David Yurman outlet is always a good alternative if you can’t find time to make it to sample sale.

a resin bag with a lip print and python boots.

    Maje
The sale begins now and the discount can be applied in stores or online with the code FF25. Sandro

Sale highlights include gold Reebok collab sneakers, the refined Alecia handbag and a brightly colored patchwork sweatshirt.

    YSL Beauty
YSL is hosting an online beauty sale where you can save 20% off when you spend $75 or more. That shouldn’t be hard when a lipstick is $30 and a palate of eye shadows cost $60. Just use the code MEMBERSONLY at checkout. Don’t procrastinate, the sale only runs through Saturday.

    Bogner Summer Blowout

Bogner is best known for their winter and ski-gear but their warm weather sports collection and leisure wear are equally as remarkable. Bloomingdales Friends & Family

Presale for the upcoming Bloomingdales friends and family started today. The sale officially beings on Tuesday but those in the know can start pre-saling their purchases in the store now. The discount is 25% off off fashion and home and 20% off jewelry. Online shoppers can use the code FRIENDS.

The exclusions don’t seem too extensive. Among the categories not included in the friends and family promotion are women’s designer collections, beauty and fragrance. Although the discount can’t be applied to beauty purchases you can receive an ombré wrap when you spend $125 or more.

If you’re interested in buying designer merchandise, including Chanel, we suggest you take advantage of Bloomingdale’s power points. For the term of friends and family you can earn $25 Power Points for every $100 you spend. That means that if you purchase a $2000 Prada boots, you will receive a $500 gift card that can be applied in 60-days to anything in the store– including Chanel. To get your Power Points you must be a loyalist but that really means just signing up for a bonus card.

Take note that the promotion runs through Sunday, October 4 and the discount can also be applied to sale items. This Sandro leather jacket will come to just $560 from $1500, a suede Halston Heritage midi-skirt comes to $330 from $745 and a Kooples velvet blazer will be $320 from $585.

Your Virtual Closet: Prada, Gucci, Stella and Oscar

By this time of year we’ve all poured ourselves over the September issues and stalked our favorite designer pieces in stores. After all, everyone has a budget and no one can have everything. Well, we have a secret that can get you at least most of everything you like.

Couture Collective allows members to buy fractional ownership of high-end designer clothing. This season, the collection includes some of the most iconic pieces of the season. There’s the photographed floral motif of sprigged lilies-of-the-valley and four-leaf clovers from Valentino, Gucci’s pleated ruffles and Erdem’s beaded leather shift. Other designers include, Stella McCartney, Marco de Vincenzo, Chloe, Proenza Schouler and many more. (You can see an assortment of items from this season’s collection right here.)

As a member of Couture Collective, you don’t have to make the tough choice of this or that. You can reasonably have access to it all. After paying a nominal membership fee, you can choose your favorite items from the collection and add the item to your virtual closet by paying just 20% of the retail price. The item fee affords you five reservations with the item and unlimited last-minute-wears. There is no charge for pickup and drop off but renters do pay for dry cleaning.

If you only want to wear the item once, pay just 10% of the retail price. That means that the Valentino print you’ve been trying so hard to justify will cost you just $439. We couldn’t think of a better way to curate a closet of uptown sophistication and downtown cool in such an affordable way.

From September 25 to September 30, prospective members can scope out, try on and choose a custom wardrobe. The entire collection will be at the Drawing Room, on the Upper East Side.

The best part is that once you’ve worn all the top fashion from this season you can rest assured that there will be an entirely new collection in March. That’s just six months away to a whole new wardrobe.
