Louboutin x Disney = No Joke

Designer collaborations have become as commonplace as sushi takeout. We just never expected that Christian Louboutin would take the Disney route for an exclusive Angelina Jolie Maleficent shoe. No. We ware not kidding.

“The curled heel and nude mesh base hint that something sinister is afoot,” says a news release. Yes, it is evident that this entire concept is twisted. The only “silver lining” is that profits from sales benefit the SOS Children’s Villages, an NGO supported by Jolie that provides stable, loving homes for orphaned and abandoned children in 133 countries.

The limited edition shoe, is $1400 and drops exclusively at Louboutin boutiques on October 20 in New York, Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong and Paris. Call now to place your preorder but we would personally prefer takeout from Tanoshi Sushi.

The Designer Bag You Want Now: Luxury Bond

One would think that after making the decision to spend 3, 4, $5000 on a bag that you would only need to go to the store and hand over your plastic. With some designers that sense of instant gratification doesn’t always work. Take Chanel as an example, the brand is often completely sold out of it’s most popular styles– like the WOC (wallet on a chain) and its Boy Bags.

What do you do when you have that yearning burning inside but no there’s product to ease the pain? Head to the amazing Luxury Bond website. The luxury retailer is a great resource for
completely authentic Chanel, Prada, Bottega Veneta, and the occasional Saint Laurent or Hermes. The best part is that the store is always stocked with the most hard to find designer handbag styles–some are even offered at a discount.

Take a look, when was the last time you saw a classic black or red Boy Bag just sitting on the shelves of your local Saks Fifth Avenue? Or how about this Caviar WOC and a straight forward mini classic?

The experience of getting exactly what you want exactly when you want is almost unheard of within the world of Chanel. The best part is that Luxury Bond offers domestic shipping for a flat fee of $19 and all sales taxes are already included in the price of the bag. The site also ships to many international destinations.

Those looking to cash out of their lightly worn luxury bags would also do very well consigning with Luxury Bond. The company’s commission fees are lower than we’ve ever seen– ranging from just 15% to 25%, depending on the price of the item. That means that you get to keep most of the value of your bag but don’t need to deal with the hassles of selling it yourself.

So what are you waiting for? Go get your dream bag right now.

Getting the Prices for Designer Sunglasses

The prices of sunglasses have skyrocketed over the past several years but unlike other luxury merchandise designer peeper protectors are widely distributed among retailers. This means that there is a lot more pricing leeway when it comes to premium shades. Head right this way to read my full guide on finding the perfect pair of sunglasses for a major discount.

35 Reasons to Get to Century 21 Now

It’s been ages since we’ve headed to the Century 21 flagship and figured it would be interesting to see what’s changed since the store was remodeled. We began our shopping trip with low expectations but were shocked to see that discount store was fully stocked with the most premier legendary designer treasures. We’re talking about the names you hardly ever find outside of boutiques any more.

When was the last time you saw Prada and Hermes in a discount store? Exactly. On the Prada rack we found classic puffer jackets with fur collars for $980 from $1890, gingham long wool coats are $1749 from $3860 and leather moto jackets for $1649 from $3885. Take note, signs above the Prada merchandise states: C21 Guaranteed Authentic. Not Affiliated or Authorized Retailer of PRADA. (Pics in the jump.)

The Lanvin section wasn’t any less spectacular. A ruffled top dress is $1759 from $5000 and a classic LBD is $979 from $2975. Other great finds include a long Gucci shearling coat for $3059 from $15,770, a classic Pucci coat with a fur collar that comes in assorted solid colors is $1059 from $4000, a classic Missoni sweater coat is $429 from $2575 and a Celine leather top is $670 from $2275.

The Hermes silk blouse was not the best piece of fashion we found at C12 but it was the biggest shocker. The blouse is priced at $1499 from $2705 and a Hermes tee is $399 from $640. Both not worth the money but nonetheless surprising. The store is also well stocked with Oscar de la Renta stunners and great Proenza prints. You can check out pictures of all the aforementioned items along with a lot more with a clickty click.

Upstairs on the 6th floor, the children’s department is also stocked with great fashion finds. There are ADD jackets for everyone from infants to the 14-16 set. A girls Missoni coat is $300 from $660, a Dolce & Gabbana dress is $119 from $324 and dressy Oscar de la Renta girl’s dresses are $101 from $235.

Frankly, we haven’t been this excited by a discount shopping trip in a very long time. We suggest that all you Uptown girls head downtown before the tourists walk away with all of our home town goodies.

    Karl Lagerfeld 70% Off

Those who are plugged into Paris fashion week have been gushing over Karl’s most recent runway collection for Chanel. The legendary designer staged a riot of feminist fashion on the runway yesterday with posters announcing “Make fashion not war” and “Boys should get pregnant too.”

It’s hard to resist falling for the Lagerfeld spirt. Right now, The Outnet is hosting a sale where the designer’s collection is 70% off. You wouldn’t believe these prices. This leather jacket is just $235 from $587, leather ankle boots are $192 from $550 and a mirrored emoji keychain with of the iconic designer is just $64 from $160. It’s impossible to resist all of it.

The sale just launched today and items are selling out quickly. There’s no wonder why.

Inside: Rent the Runway Sample Sale

Today we went early this morning to check out the Rent the Runway sample sale. Don’t be mistaken, although this markdown event is being coined as a sample sale it much more resembles a designer garage sale. Samples are normally new or showroom used. The merchandise from RTR is very much well used and some if it is very expensive considering its condition.

When you are in the habit of shopping great markdowns it’s hard to put a number value on pre-worn merchandise. Should it be priced at 70% off, 80% off, 90% off? You will have to be the judge.

Inside the sale you will find a huge variety of dresses and gowns. The best of the bunch was a shift from Yigal Azrouel marked $351 from $995. Priced better is a Preen dress for $281 from $2225 but it did seem to have a dusting of wear. An MSMG summer dress is $191 from $995 and a Clover Canyon classic print is $72 from $265. (Pics inside here.)

The most popular dresses are the Herve Leger dresses, which range  from $87 to $500. The red $87 variety has a neckline so plunging that it should come with a fake boob option and another blue ombre variety for $105 has an off-the-shoulder neckline that was stretched out on all of them. Other Herve options include a black classic with a racer back for $403, a blueberry stripy style for $196 and an aqua style with a deep scalloped plunging neckline for $225.

The sale also includes a small assortment of evening bags and jewelry. The discounts for these are about 70% off. Oscar de la Renta earrings were $83 from about $300 and a damaged Kate Spade Mr. & Mrs. clutch is $85 from about $400.
