    Altuzarra for Target 50% Off

Altuzarra’s collection hit Target in Mid-September and shoppers pounced. We knew that the designer collaboration would be a big hit among New Yorkers but we didn’t think the real normcor would take to the luxury merchandise as well. We were partially correct.

At first, the racks were practically wiped clean of merchandise but then the boomerang effect kicked in. It appears as if Target’s new 14 day-return policy on the collaboration made it so shoppers didn’t sit on their purchases longer than necessary. Now, what’s left is 50% off.

Some of the best pieces from the collection include the Orchid print sweatshirt that’s now $20 from $30, the button down dress with the python print bottom is $25 from $50 and the ruby red faux wrap dress is $28 from $40. There are still lots of clearance shoes left from the collab but they were universally painful to wear.

Those who frequent Target stores should scope out the clearance clothing section where you are likely to find an even larger assortment than what’s online. You might find that prices are even better too.

Spy missions notoriously go wrong. Like the CIA, Mad-Spy sometimes receives bad information. We apologize for any inconvenience that our inaccuracies could have caused. We have updated the post to reflect– what we hope to be– the correct information.

The Christian Louboutin invitation only sample sale is one of the most coveted shopping tickets in town. It’s the sale everyone loves to hate. The sale takes place in the corporate showroom and the security is tight and there’s a clear mean-girls hierarchy to who is invented to shop first.

The most important Louboutin insiders, glossy magazine editors and celebrities, have been invited to begin shopping on Monday. The sale extends all week as the invited guest list expands to allow general press and “friends and family.”

Most shoe styles range in price from $250 to $500. There is always a very limited assortment of men’s sneakers and shoes, which range $300 to $400 depending on the detail. During the last sale our VIP snoops reported that most shoppers were buying in bulk — meaning that most shoppers ended up with at least ten pairs of shoes each.

If you’re considering door-busting this sale, we suggest that you use your best technique starting Wednesday. Be forewarned, at the last sale, there were three layers of clip-boards: one in the lobby, another at the elevator and a third in the showroom.

Good luck and we will continue to keep you posted.
