Global Fashions has always been and remains the leading distributer of luxury brands names worldwide. The designs of their clothing, accessories and shoes are always on top of everyone's must-have list. The problem with luxury fashion is the ever-rising and staggering price tags. Haven't they become crazzzzy?
Starting Monday, Global Fashions will be hosting a multi-brand sale. There will be a spectacular assortment of designer clothing for men and women, which will include Valentino and Anya Hindmarch with discounts of 80% off clothing. Shoes and bags-- ranging from top selling classics to iconic seasonal pieces-- will be 70% off retail.
The best part is that a lot of the merchandise is from Fall and Winter collections, which means you can get a jump on updating your 'back-to-school' wardrobe. We got a sneak peak and were particularly impressed by the men's selection. There are lots of great jackets, sneakers and backpacks for guys. That's in addition to the ornate clothing and gorgeous shoes and bags for women. You can click here to see a few pictures we snapped during walkthrough.
In addition to the Valentino assortment, there will be merchandise from Alberta Ferreti, Anya Hindmarch, Dolce & Gabbana, Garavani, Marchesa, Moschino and Red Valentino. You don't want to miss all that.
The sale will only run for four days. If you attended the last sale, you know how quickly the best merchandise was gone. Don't say we didn't warn you!
Global Fashions Summer Warehouse Sale

9am-6pm daily
49 W. 38th Street btwn 5th & 6th (Main floor)
It's no news that streetwear is hotter than almost any French or Italian haute house. Vetements, Off-White and ReadyMade are all offering the fashion set, luxury coolness.
Shoe designer, Sophia Webster wearing House of Holland
We've never been keen on chasing the masses and have developed an overwhelming fondness for House of Holland. The British label hit the fashion scene in 2008 with its playful wit and bold prints. The brand is notoriously a favorite of Pixie Geldof and Alexa Chung. The best part is that under-the-radar brand can be found on major markdown at various retailers.
Over at the brand's website, we found discounts of 50% to 70% off. We love this floral embroidered skirt that comes to about $200. (The problem there is that shipping is about $20.)
Asos also carries a great selection and discounts are often as much as 70%. This embroidered dress is $183 from $460. These jeans are as cool as any pair from Off-White and are priced at just $93 from $316. The sunglasses collection is really statement making and the discounts are amazing too. How about these exaggerated mirrored cat-eyes that are $85 from $240 or this striped pair that's a bit more tame but just as cool for $95 from $240?
Over at Farfetch you can find some great older pieces on sale like this Ratchet tee that's $35 from $115 and a heart midi-skirt is $115 from $105.
House of Holland is also sold at Opening Ceremony, on Howard Street, if you're looking to get your hands on the physical fashion.
What we love about shopping at the Madison Avenue boutique, Fivestory is how the inventory goes beyond the basics and satisfies the needs of those looking for drama and haute. Think Balmain, Cushnie Et Ochs, Mary Katrantzou, and of course, Rosie Assoulin.
The problem with such style is the expense and the fast pace of trends. For this reason, we are always looking for an major markdown. Starting Tuesday, August 8, Fivestory will move all it's overstock to Soho where you will be able to save up to 90% off on many items. (You can click here to see what we found and bought at last season's off-site.)
If you're not apt to leave the seashore or travel downtown, we suggest you quickly popover to the Fivestory boutique (or website) right now. The discounts are 70% on many items and there is still a large size selection on even some of the most lust worthy items of the season.
There is no doubt that the deals at the off-site will be better than the current in-store discounts but the convenience of online shopping might be worth the premium. Items purchased through the online sale are also returnable, which can't be said about the Soho sale.
Fivestory Offsite
Tuesday, August 8th through Sunday, August 13th
Tues 9am-8pm, Wed to Sat 11am-7pm, Sun 11am-4pm
150 Greene Street
The last minute is always the most productive minute the day and the second hand is gaining speed on sale season. If you've been putting off making a purchase on Net-a-Porter, we suggest you take this moment and do it NOW. The site's seasonal sale ends Tuesday and once it's done the entire catalogue of merchandise is removed from the site.
Right now, you can find a wide variety of merchandise discounted 70%, plus an additional 20%, which brings the total savings to a grand 80% off retail. So what's especially discounted that warrants a last look?
Among the clothing, there is A LOT of Miu Miu and Prada. Most of it is about 70% off once you add the additional discount. Here is a Dodo Bar Or romper that's about $110 from $340, a Roksanda striped dress is $850 from over $2700 and this Roland Mouret top (which I own in navy and looks amazing on) and is now reduced to $280 from $875. (Do you think I need another??)
Remember, this sale only runs through Tuesday and then it's off the site. The next time you see this merchandise it will be on The OutNet and prices will be higher.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale only runs for one more week. Procrastinating shoppers can rejoice that the site has been restocked with some of the most popular items. Below is a compilation of some of the early sell-outs that are now, again, available. Remember, prices go up when the sale ends on August 6!
It's hard to believe that we are half-way through Summer. The sun is setting a just enough earlier to become noticeable and markdown season is about to begin to wrap up.
Over at MatchesFashion, the discount is already 70% off and the site is closing out the season with an additional 20% off many items. Discounts have hit up to 70% and the extra promotion brings the total savings to 80%. Shoppers should use the code EXTRA20 when checking out to engage the additional savings. The promotion ends Saturday, July 29.
The sale only runs for two more days. It's best to shop with anticipation of what you might need while there are big sales. There are few things worse than shopping under pressure and paying full price.
Neiman Marcus is now offering discounts up to 80% when you take an extra 20% off designer clothing, shoes and bags. This promotion is available in stores and online.
The shoe sale is the most interesting. Checking out the selection, there are a lot of shoes we've been eyeing that are now reduced to irresistible prices. These Tom Ford buckle shoes are reduced to about $400 from nearly $1780. Prada suede sandals are $190 from almost $800, flat slides are $118 from $500, and this one with ankle ribbons is reduced to $213 from $890. Jimmy Choo suede heels are about $400 from $1400.
This sale runs through Wednesday (and then there will be a 'extra bonus day.') We don't expect prices to get any lower. We suggest you grab what you need now and wear it right away. After all, there is nothing better than wearing a great sale find while it's still in-season.
The Bottega Veneta doesn't open to the public tomorrow but employees got first look this afternoon and didn't leave very happy. Early shoppers say that the selection is lousy and prices are high, which doesn't bode well for the public that doesn't gain entrance until noon on Tuesday.
This evening, shoppers spotted duffles, bags and jackets but 'none were a great deal.' Most bags were priced between $800 and $1500 and any item of clothing that could be described as 'fashionable was $500 or more.' During past sales, bags were 60% off and shoes were priced at $100 a pair. This is clearly not the case. Saks Fifth Avenue currently has better discounts.
If you're looking for the best deals on Bottega merchandise, we suggest you keep an eye on the Bottega outlet, at Woodbury Common. If you hit the outlet correctly, you can find past season clothing discounted 85% off and bags reduced as much as 65%. Calling the outlet just before a holiday weekend is the best plan.
For now, we suggest you steer clear of this sale. Alternatively, you can hold off until the lines and prices dwindle towards the end of the week.
