Lenny Niemeyer Sale: $30 Swimsuits

May 6, 2015 by Lila Delilah

Get this: Memorial Day is only 22 days away. We know it’s hard but you are not, repeat not, going to roll out in last year’s bathing suit ensemble.

Start the season off on the right foot with a fresh new look. After all, don’t we deserve it after hibernating for the past seven months? The Lenny Niemeyer sale is precisely the right place to start your beachwear refesher. If you’re not familiar with the brand, Lenny Niemeyer makes luxurious beachwear that can be found at Neiman Marcus and Everything But Water.

The sample sale has a wide range of samples and open stock. All of the samples are a size small. In Brazillian swim language that translates to tiny. All of the current season samples are $80. Included in the selection is this Hibiscus print in all types of styles. This one-piece retails for $251 and this print bikini is $80 for the set from $160. In addition to her prints, Lenny Niemeyer is known for her great fitting solids. Most solids and prints from the open stock are about $100. Coverups start at $75 and run to about $185 for a ‘swim gown.’ Click here for lots of pictures from the sale.

The best deals at the sale are the 2012 and 2013 open stock and samples that are priced at just $30. It just takes a bit of tenacity to search though vaguely marked boxes to find the right size and style. On the bright side the sales staff is very helpful and are willing to help you find the the suite that’s perfect for you.

The brand’s conference room is the temporary communal changing area. If you’re the modest type, we suggest you wear the appropriate undergarments.

If you’re unable to make it to the sample sale, we suggest you check out Shopbop. Not all of the pricing is as good as the sale but it’s a good alternative if you’re not keen to going to SoHo or communal dressing rooms.
